Super Quick and Easy 3-Ingredient Oreo Balls Recipe

It has to be said, ball recipes are an absolute lifesaver when it comes to quick sweet spot munchies, lunch-box fillers, grazing board delights and freezer snacks. This Oreo Balls recipe is no exception! Most ball recipes can be frozen to be pulled out at a moment’s notice for any of those occasions, taking next to no time to defrost at room temperature. Perfectly portioned, they’re also a very convincing bribe for kids – which is completely allowed.

And this one is exactly how it sounds – delicious Oreo biscuits wrapped in coconut, they’ve got the flavour profile of a lamington with a sweet Oreo edge. Using just three ingredients, this Oreo balls recipe comes together quickly and makes for a tasty treat, perfect for that pesky sweet craving – or give as a gift to a fellow Oreo biscuit lover!

A quick disclaimer, a food processor or Thermomix will make really light work of crumbling Oreo biscuits. They’ll be reduced to crumbs in just seconds, but if you don’t have one once don’t panic. You can crush the biscuits the old fashioned way – tipping the biscuits into a freezer bag and smacking it with a rolling pin (which is possibly a little more satisfying too).

Without further ado, grab your three – yes, just THREE – ingredients and let’s get these Oreo balls on the road!

Quick and Easy No-Bake 3 Ingredient Oreo Balls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 packets of Oreo Original biscuits (133g each)
  • 395g tin Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1⅓ cup of desiccated coconut
  • Extra desiccated coconut for rolling

Method

1. Using a food processor or Thermomix, empty the biscuits from the Oreo packets into the machine. Blitz to a fine, breadcrumb-like consistency.

2. Add the desiccated coconut to the crumbled Oreo biscuits and give the food processor or Thermomix a few quick pulses to make sure it’s evenly mixed through the crumbs.

3. Tip the coconut and Oreo crumb mixture into a large mixing bowl.

4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the coconut and Oreo crumb mixture. Using a silicone spatula, keep folding the mixture until it’s evenly mixed through and has a soft texture.

5. Using a small old-fashioned ice cream scoop or tablespoon, pick up spoonfuls of the mixture. Dampen your clean hands to roll balls. Note: If the mixture is too soft to keep its shape, you can pop the bowl in the fridge for 10 minutes to harden up a little, making rolling easier.

6. Tip your extra desiccated coconut into a shallow container or bowl. After hand-rolling the Oreo balls, roll them around in the desiccated coconut until they are completely covered. Place coconut covered balls on a plate or in a container.

7. Once all Oreo balls are covered in coconut, place them in the fridge to set and enjoy!
