At Mum Central we’re obsessed with all the hot homewares from Kmart. What’s better than overhauling the whole house with a trolley load of stuff that doesn’t break the bank?
Well good news fellow shopaholics the whole new range of homewares has just dropped with Kmart’s new Inspired Living range. We’ve scoured the catalogue, been in store and here’s the Mum Central round up of our most favourite pieces.

You may remember from Christmas we loved the gold cutlery and it’s bigger and better with a new dining story. The cutlery set is $19 for 16 pieces (steal) and the new brass-look trivet in gold (which is a fancy word for pot stand) is only $5. Grab a couple while they are still available. There’s also stacks of new plates and dishware including mat range in black, grey, white and mint to freshen up your table for change of season!
The other look we are really excited about in dining is the glazed pottery range that is bang on trend for what’s in all the most hip fine dining restaurants at the moment. Forget the mega price tag though these pieces start from just $3 but look like the expensive cousins you’ll see out on the town!

Our favourite new piece in lighting is the brass-look legged floor lamp at only $39. To further expand on the luxe look there’s also an occasional chair for only $49 and a glass topped console table for $45. Not only does this have a rich, modern look it’s huge value for money with three key pieces for under $150 combined!
We couldn’t close off lounge talk though without mentioning the $39 drinks trolley (um, yes please!), the two-tone rose gold mirror $12 and the black galah print at only $14 which is right-on for the avian trend thats everywhere right now.

We can’t go past the grey faux cowhide rug for $49. The three set of round mirrors are fresh and fun and would also be great for a feature in a bathroom or nursery. The adjustable metal wall shelf is ultra cool and practical. It would also be perfect for a home office, kids room or even organising your bits and pieces in a walk in wardrobe. We predict these will be a big hit!

When it comes to the latest in bedrooms Kmart has stuck with its previous Scandi themes and natural timbers and light modern prints prevail. There’s nothing more lovely than having a true retreat after a hard days parenting so definitely check out the range and consider updating your space. For a feminine look we love the Ginko range which is only $20 but the Evie quilt cover in neutral grey also catches our eye! Add pillows from $5 a pop for a relaxing, soft look! If you’re into something a little more grown up, plush and decadent the Every Day Luxe range (shown at top) might be for you!

Kmart know when they are on to a good thing and last seasons best-selling storage locked is back. This is a practical, slick and industrial themed storage locker that will work anywhere in the home – particularly awesome for the toy room or a boys bedroom! If you missed out last season they can be ordered online or bought in store but don’t delay as they’ll surely sell out again! Run don’t walk!
