This New Oricom Baby Monitor is Changing the Game for Parents the World Over

You want to make sure that your baby is sleeping safe and sound and it’s not like baby monitors are a new thing either. However Oricom are changing the game with their latest addition, the Oricom Babysense2.

So, what makes this monitor so above-the-norm (aside from its super-sleek new appearance)?

It’s Australia’s first infant respiratory monitor also registered as a medical device.

So what does that mean? Let’s say you’re finding it a challenge to stop hovering over your sleeping baby. You’ve heard all about SIDS, and are somewhat concerned, and rest assured you’re not alone. But, spending all night standing over your baby and watching her breathe just won’t do. At some point you’ll wake her, and, let’s be realistic, at some point you’ll actually want to cuddle up in your own bed and maybe, just maybe, get some sleep! 😉

But, how can you ever get to sleep if you’re constantly worried about your baby? Cue the newly released Babysense2 – along with Oricom’s Secure 710 Digital Baby Monitor.

Oricom-Babysense-2The Babysense2 takes some of the worry out of baby’s sleep-time. It connects to sensor pads which fit under baby’s mattress meaning they’ll constantly monitor your little guy or girl’s breathing.  Meaning that:

  • If your baby’s breathing goes lower than 10 breaths per minute, an alarm goes off.
  • If the monitor doesn’t detect your baby’s breathing for more than 20 seconds, the alarm also goes off.

Not only does the unit monitor your baby’s breathing movements, but coupled with the Secure 710 lets you see exactly what she’s doing.

This digital video monitor allows for multiple camera connections. Yep! No more unplugging, plugging, unplugging, plugging – okay, you get the picture. You can even put a camera in each room of the house if you want to.

And, did we mention – you can see your baby in the dark. Well, obviously unless you plan on leaving the light on in the nursery 24/7, this is a great feature thanks to the black and white infrared (that’s the see-in-the-dark) feature.

Plus, this magnificent monitor also features:

  • Room temperature sensor
  • Adjustable night light
  • Plays five soothing lullabies.

If only it could change a nappy too, but let’s face it, that’s probably asking too much.

Oricom’s Managing Director Kevin McDonnell says,

“Our monitors not only employ state of the art technology but they are robust and instinctive to use.”

He goes on to add, “Our business is built to ensure that we can look after you and your needs long after you have purchased your Baby Monitor.”

oricom-canstar-awardAs if these monitors aren’t amazing enough, add on an award! And not just any award we might add! The highly sought after Canstar Blue Award, voted by more than 1,300 parents!

What is a Canstar Blue Award?

The Canstar Blue Award award rates baby products for quality and Oricom scored five star reviews in just about every area, including clarity of sound, image quality and value for the money.

Head of Canstar Blue, Megan Doyle noted, “For baby monitors, it’s all about fulfilling the promises, which means the sound and image quality need to be perfect. Given that baby monitors are something of a luxury item, parents simply want to feel like they’re getting value for money.”
