The 2024 Mum Central Awards are Open

At Mum Central, we aim to help other parents by offering advice, sharing stories and recommending products that have assisted us in our parenting journeys. We’ve been behind the scenes for nearly 14 years now, with our Facebook community bustling with almost 1 million engaged mums, and our website attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each month! Now it’s time to honour these amazing companies, brands, and products while we amplify your voice and tell the world who and what you love. We are proud to launch our inaugural 2024 Mum Central Awards!

Mum Central isn’t just a digital marketing network either; we’re a community, a family, and a powerhouse in the parenting world. Our reach extends to over a million Australian mums, offering them a blend of authenticity, creativity, and connection. We’re dedicated to being a voice for brand partners and a trusted friend for mothers on their parenting journey.

It’s been a wild ride these past 14 years, but we’ve loved every minute! We’ve watched our babies grow into teenagers and graduate from prams to Playstations and soon-to-be P-Plates. During this time, we’ve also been introduced to so many incredible brands, products and Australian companies that help make parenting just that little bit easier.

At Mum Central, we’re dedicated to providing content that’s not only high-quality and authentic but also timely and relevant for our audience of women aged 20-50. And don’t worry – we always ensure there’s a sprinkle of fun in everything we do!

Now it’s time to honour these amazing companies, brands and products, but instead of us sharing our thoughts, WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Introducing the Mum Central Awards for 2024

Our inaugural Mum Central Awards have officially launched, and we are ready and open for nominations. There are two ways to nominate (we’ll explain below), and once your nomination is confirmed, we will share our nominees with our readers.

Then it’s up to YOU to vote for who you think should win the GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZE in each category.

How it works:

STAGE 1: NOMINATIONS AND SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN

NOMINATE MY BUSINESS: Are you looking to showcase your product, brand or service? Nominate yourself now. Our application process is really easy to do – we promise! This option is best for business owners, big and small.

NOMINATE YOUR FAVOURITE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES: Want to share your love of a certain product or company with other parents? Submit a nomination form on someone’s behalf (it’s free to do and super easy too). This option is best for non-business owners.

Nominations close on 29 February 2024
All nominees will be notified promptly and have the opportunity to complete their application if they wish.
Applications close on 14 March 2024.

STAGE 2: NOMINEES ANNOUNCED AND VOTING OPENS

Mark your calendar because 2nd April is the day our official NOMINEES will be announced, and voting will commence! It’s completely free to vote, and all voters will go into a draw to win a $300 JB HIFI GIFT CARD just for nominating their fave products and services! You can vote for as many products or brands in as many categories as you like, each one getting you an extra entry in the draw! Public voting opens on 2 April 2024 and closes on 30 April 2024.

STAGE 3: WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Stay tuned for 15th May 2024, when we will announce three awards in each category on the Mum Central website. We’ll also share this across our social channels too. If you don’t already subscribe to Mum Central, you may want to do so now too, so you can stay in the know.

Each category will have three winners based on a voting system. The most votes will receive the prestigious GOLD award, with SILVER for runner-up and BRONZE for third highest votes.

CAN I NOMINATE A PRODUCT IN MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY?
Yes, you certainly can. As long as it’s a good fit, you can nominate the same product into numerous categories. So, for example, if you’ve got an amazing new baby carrier, you may want to submit it to the Best Travel, Best Product for Baby, Best New Product of the Year and Best On-the-Go Baby Product.

CAN I NOMINATE SEVERAL PRODUCTS?
Yes, you certainly can! If you’ve got several great products under your brand, then enter as many as you’d like! Just make sure you choose the right category/categories for each product as your description will vary depending on your target category.

CAN I SHARE MY NOMINATION WITH MY FOLLOWERS TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO VOTE?
Yes, you certainly can! All nominees are encouraged to share their nominations with their readers across all channels. We will also have an asset kit available to assist you in promoting your nomination. All nominees will receive a Mum Central Nominations Awards Badge to use on your socials and to encourage your customers to vote.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF SOMEONE ELSE NOMINATES ME, AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
First of all, congrats! So exciting. If you have been nominated by someone else, it’s up to you to decide if you’d like to continue the process and become an official nominee. You will receive an email notifying you of your nomination and the category, with a link to complete the application.

I WANT TO NOMINATE MY FAVOURITE PRODUCT – IS THERE A FEE?
To nominate your favourite brand or product, all nominations are free.

I WANT TO NOMINATE MYSELF – IS THERE A FEE?
To nominate your own business, we’ll skip the nomination process and go straight to submitting your application where you will pay the award nomination fee as specified. All the details are on the self-nomination form here.

HOW DOES THE VOTING WORK?
Voting for your favourite product or service is absolutely free. However, you can only submit one voting form and one vote per category. You can vote for 1, 5 or all 40+ categories – the choice is yours!

Plus, by voting, you’ll automatically enter the draw to win a $300 JB-HIFI GIFT CARD!

WHAT DO I GET IF I’M AN AWARD WINNER?
Our top three winners in each category (Gold, Silver and Bronze) will not only receive the accolade of winning a Mum Central Award but will also be permanently featured in our Awards Winner’s List published on Mum Central. We will publish a small feature on each award-winning product based on the information you include on your submission form – description, price, URL (with do-follow link) and, of course, an image with their award icon attached.

But, best of all, every award winner will receive the coveted Mum Central Award Badge, its notoriety and the opportunity to promote this amazing accomplishment and across future marketing activities.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I’VE WON A MUM CENTRAL AWARD?
All winners will be contacted no later than Friday, 10 May 2023, just before we publish the winners’ list on our website and celebrate them across our social channels.

We will also contact our People’s Choice Voting Winner to let them know they’ve won the Voting Prize of a $300 JB-HIFI GIFT CARD!
