Last week I flew across to the Sydney Bloggers Brunch hosted by Kids Business to talk all things parenting, lifestyle and fun with a theme that jumped out at me – ‘Fun, Fashion & Freedom’
I was privileged to meet the team from Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea and to learn more about how we can all get involved in raising much needed funds for cancer research.
In case you hadn’t heard, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is an opportunity to come together with your friends, family or workmates to share a few laughs, delicious treats over a cuppa, whilst helping people affected by cancer.
Did you know? One in three Australian men and one in four women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 75?
When you look around your Biggest Morning Tea event, it’s highly likely someone you know at your event, someone they know, or you yourself, will be affected by cancer at some stage of your lives. Scary stuff huh?
That’s why Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is so important.
It raises much needed funds to support cancer research, counselling to those who are affected by and need it, and to raise awareness of the good things the Cancer Council are doing for the fight against cancer.
Held on Thursday 26th May 2016, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea events can be hosted at any time during May or June and getting involved is easy. Jump onto the Biggest Morning Tea website or call 1300 65 65 85 to register as a host, set a date in May, and invite your friends for tea, coffee, treats and a few laughs all in the name of a great cause!
And joining the fight against cancer this year by supporting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is JURA coffee, what a perfect combination! Food, a great cause, friends who are mostly exhausted mums, and coffee. If that’s not brilliant I don’t know what is (oh wait, it’s coffee, coffee is brilliant, as is raising money for the Cancer Council).
JURA will be showing their support by donating $50 from the sale of each domestic coffee machine through April and May, by holding morning teas in retail stores and through staff fundraising across Australia.
