How does a fun, easy and cheap night out with the family at an outdoor cinema sound to you?

Le Cornu Furniture is hosting an outdoor family cinema event in their iconic car-park on this Saturday the 27th of February, screening none other than the Penguins of Madagascar!

This exciting event has something for everyone making it the perfect family night out. It will feature FREE jumping castles to keep the little ones occupied while waiting for the sun to go down, face painters and lots of other kids entertainment, all for only a gold coin donation each to enter! That’s right, you can take the whole family out to watch a blockbuster movie under the stars for less than the price of a single movie ticket! And here’s the best part…

ALL proceeds will go to the Little Heroes Foundation’s $4 million goal to build a ‘Centre for Robotics and Innovation’ at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital.

Little-Heroes-Foundation-Outdoor-Cinema-Le-Cornu“For over 160 years Le Cornu has been one of SA’s most iconic brands who not only strive for the highest level of customer service but are also committed to giving back to the community and making a change in our society.” Ian Vann, General Manager of Le Cornu South Australia stated.

“We recognise the fantastic work that the Little Heroes Foundation provide and are delighted to be able to support their latest project in the hope to improve the lives of seriously ill children in South Australia.”

We know it’s not easy to find a good, inexpensive family night out these days and this one certainly seems to tick all the most important boxes! There will be food available to purchase on the night if you want a night off from cooking (yes please!) OR if you want to keep the costs to an absolute minimum, feel free to pack your own picnic of family favourites. Then all you need to do is grab your chairs, cushions (or beanbags!), your family and get ready for a stunning summer night enjoying the cheeky adventures of our favourite penguins, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private, all in support of this incredibly important work by one of our favourite charities.

Little Heroes Foundation is currently building Australia’s first ‘Centre for Robotics and Innovation’ with doors set to open in April 2016.

This $4,000,000 project, the largest the charity has ever undertaken, will be based at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide and will include a world class robotic gymnasium with the latest rehabilitation equipment designed for children and adolescents being treated for serious illness as well as a five-year clinical research study to uncover new ways to help kids re-learn everyday tasks like walking.

'Robot-Assisted’ equipment and a form of physical therapy that uses a robotic device to help a person improve their ability to walk, the Lokomat Pro is really changing lives day after day!

Designed for and adapted to the needs of children with movement impairments in their arms and hands, the Armeo Spring is highly successful at encouraging children to regain movement by motivating game like tasks.

It honestly gives us goosebumps just writing about it but just wait until you see the video.

Currently Little Heroes has raised just shy of $1.2 million dollars for this project so with an April deadline, we are really reaching out for your help to get this big, brave and brilliant goal across the line!

Little Heroes Foundation Chairman Chris McDermott says that events like the Le Cornu Outdoor Cinema Night embodies everything the Foundation stands for.

“Little Heroes Foundation is all about family so this is the perfect event for us. The whole family together and having fun,”

So come one, come all, it’s going to be a brilliant night for a brilliant cause! Grab your family, your friends and arrange a night out while helping future generations of South Australian kids who might just need the valuable services that Little Heroes Foundation supports!
