Apple has released important software updates for iOS and Mac

For all iPhone, iPads and Macs some smarty pants has found an issue with SSL security on websites. This would only really affect you if you took your device to McDonalds and used their free unprotected Wi-Fi and there was hacker sitting there waiting. So the threat would be very unlikely. Having said this, never say never and be sure to update your software to be truly protected.

Apple have released updates to fix this issue, so please read below on how to update.

For iMacs and MacBooks

  1. app store logoOpen App Store
  2. Press Updates at top right
  3. Update 10.9.2 for the latest
  4. Press Update

settingsFor iPhones and iPads

  1. Select Settings
  2. Select General
  3. Select Software Update
  4. Select Download and Update

NOTE:  Always make sure your device is connected to a power source during the updates.
