A recall alert has been issued for Tamar Valley’s popular yoghurt pouches amid fears the green lids pose a choking risk to children.
Parmalat Australia is recalling all three flavours – vanilla, strawberry and tropical – of its 110g Tamar Valley Dairy Kids Yoghurt pouches from all major retailers across Australia.
“It has come to our attention that upon resealing, some of the green caps are failing, resulting in a possible choking hazard,” a company statement says.
The Tamar Valley recall applies only to the packaging, not the contents of the yoghurt. The faulty green mushroom-style caps are in the process of being replaced with a fail-safe frosted clear cap, Parmalat says.
Consumers should return the Tamar Valley yoghurt pouches to their place of purchase for a refund.
