Eight popular prams from big-name brands including Graco and Britax are being recalled because they don’t meet Australian safety standards.
The national recall from the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission (ACCC) applies to eight prams and strollers sold through retailer Paul’s USA Direct Outlet in Rockdale. They are:
- Graco Stylus CL Connect, Graco Urbanlite Connect, Graco Fastact Fold Connect
- Britax B Agile, Britax B Ready
- Dream On Me Double Pram
- B.O.B Revolution CE and SE Stroller
Customers with these prams should stop using them immediately and return them to the store for a refund. According to the company’s website, Paul’s USA Direct Outlet sells items sourced from American department stores to the Australian market.
“The products do not comply with the requirements of the mandatory standard. The tether strap, brake and safety warnings are not supplied or not sufficiently visible,” the ACCC recall notice states.
“If the products do not have the required safety features and warning labelling they may not be used correctly, posing a risk of injury to the occupant.”
Customers who bought the prams should contact Paul’s USA Direct Outlet Rockdale on (02) 9597 4246 or via email cl**********@pa************.au to arrange a refund. The pram safety recall does not apply to Graco or Britax prams sold at other retailers.
