Ann B Davis, who played everyone’s favourite housekeeper, Alice in The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974 has died.
Davis fell and hit her head in the bathroom of her Texas home on Sunday. Her close friend Bishop William Frey said that she suffered a subdural haematoma and never regained consciousness.
Davis was described by one of her roommates that she lived with as “pretty healthy for an 88 year old woman” and her death has come as “a total shock” to those close to her.
Prior to her role as Alice, the New York born actress, starred in US comedy The Bob Cummings Show, for which she won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
Here’s a Brady flashback. Classic Alice.
Rest in peace Alice
