If you’re looking for the best of the best in baby products, then you’ve come to the right place! The Memo has just released its nine award winners for The Memos 2023. These awards recognise the absolute top shelf in the parenting biz, the products worthy of parents’ time, adoration and money.
This is the third year The Memo has run its annual awards and we are so excited to share the very worthy winners. This year there were nine key categories, 72 nominations, and 3,700 parents who cast their votes.
The Memo does things a little differently when it comes to its awards by opting for unique categories such as WTF to Wow (an unusual product that is actually a lifesaver) and Parenting Ride or Die (what parents cannot be without). The categories range from breastfeeding to baby care and include toys, feeding tools, postpartum, sleep and more.
The Memo is your one-stop shop for those must-have baby products that you may not know about … things outside of the typical big-ticket items like the pram and car seat. At The Memo you’ll find the best, brightest and most useful products in the babysphere.
Let’s take a look at the winning products, as voted by parents.
The Winners of the Memos 2023 Awards for Parents
Care Extraordinaire Award: The most helpful parenting aid
WINNER: Snotty Noses: Snotty Boss Nasal Aspirator
When sickness strikes, ouchies happen or you’re trying to prevent either, the go-to product is Snotty Noses: Snotty Boss Nasal Aspirator.
This snot-sucker is an absolute godsend and works by gently suctioning the snot from your child’s nose in five seconds, especially handy for little ones who haven’t mastered the fine art of blowing their noses yet. It’s slightly disgusting, but, trust us, it’s amazing when your little one is sick! And it’s not just us who thinks so.
WTF to Wow Award: Odd but amazing and innovative parenting tool
WINNER: Youha: Embody Wearable Breast Pump
The nominations in this unique category may require a bit of explaining, but when you get it, you get it and you need it!
The winner is Youha: Embody Wearable Breast Pump, an all-in-one wearable, cord-free, tube-free, double electric breast pump. No wires. No plugs. Just a breast pump that attaches straight to your breasts.
More Than a Toy Award: Best Developmental Learning Tool
WINNER: My Happy Helpers: Evo 2.0 Learning Tower
There are toys, and then there are products that go above and beyond the basic toy role. My Happy Helpers: Evo 2.0 Learning Tower is the winner this year and, while it’s not a ‘typical toy’, this tower holds the key to what children want the most – to be independent.
The tower allows your toddler to reach big things and help out around the house, especially in the kitchen.
Sleep Superhero Award: Best sleep aid
WINNER: Baby Shusher Sound Machine
There are so many innovative sleep products on the market but the Memo mums have spoken and the Baby Shusher Sound Machine is the holy grail.
The Baby Shusher uses a real human voice to lull your baby to sleep with a calming shusher noise, a similar tone to the sounds in the womb. No need for you to ‘sssh’ for hours on end. Ingenious!
Parenting Ride or Die Award: The most helpful parenting aid
WINNER: Portier: The Limitless Carrier
The nominations in this category are the best of the best – the products that you would literally marry if you could. Portier’s The Limitless Carrier takes the title.
Comfortable, stylish and supportive, it’s everything you want and need in a baby carrier.
Breast Bestie Award: Best in breast are and lactation support
WINNER: Silverette: Silver Nursing Cups
You’d be surprised how many breastfeeding products are out there – pumps, pads, creams, pillows, milk catchers. But the winning product? Nursing cups!
Hailed as a lifesaver for mums with cracked, sore and painful nipples (ah, breastfeeding fun!), Silverette’s Silver Nursing Cups protect nursing nipples using the magic of silver.
Postpartum BFF Award: Best in postpartum recovery
WINNER: Bare Mum: Ergonomic Perineal Wash Bottle
A girl can use all the help she can get in the nether area after birth and the Ergonomic Perineal Wash Bottle is the crown jewel, so to speak.
We won’t get into the nitty-gritty but wiping after birth isn’t the most pleasant of things (hello stitches!), which is why a Perineal Wash Bottle is making such a splash. It allows new mums to gently spritz their ritz for instant relief. You may not have known you even needed this, but, trust us, YOU DO!
Master of Meals Award: Best in starting solids and feeding food
WINNER: Stokke: Tripp Trapp Chair
We’ve sung the praises of the Tripp Trapp Chair for years now and we are so glad to see other mums agree.
Designed to be used from birth right through to adulthood, this chair brings your baby to the dining table, transforming from a high chair to a toddler chair and beyond.
Gift Registry Hero Award: The most useful and beloved tool for new parents
WINNER: Bunnie Caddie
In terms of the best product to gift to a new mum, the Bunnie Caddie takes the cake.
This lightweight carry-all is perfect for holding everything you need for nappy changes and is completely portable so you can take it from room to room. It’s stylish enough for a nursery but also doubles as a carry bag for trips away with bub.
