Before he was Optimus Prime, he was Orion Pax. Before he was Megatron, he was D-16. Before they were enemies, they were friends and brothers-in-arms. Every Transformer has an origin story. Transformers One is that origin story.

More Than Meets The Eye – Exclusive To Cinemas This September

Directed by Josh Cooley, Transformers One is the first-ever fully CG-animated Transformers movie and the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron. Better known as sworn enemies, they once were friends and bonded like brothers, who changed the fate of Cybertron forever.

The cast is a hit list of well-known action and sci-fi stars too. Chris Hemsworth stars alongside Brian Tyree Henry as Orion Pax and D-16 respectively. Hemsworth reunites with his Marvel co-star Scarlett Johansson in this funny, action-packed animated Transformers movie, along with Jon Hamm, Laurence Fishburne, Steve Buscemi, and Keegan-Michael Key.

A Movie For Everyone

If you grew up spending Saturday mornings glued to cartoons with a bowl of sugary cereal and too much milk, followed by a day out with friends until the streetlights came on, this movie is made for you.

If you watched Shia LaBeouf bring the Autobots into the twenty-first century, stayed to see Mark Wahlberg carry the torch, and cheered as Hailee Steinfeld gave Bumblebee his well-deserved moment in the spotlight, then this movie is made for you.

If you ever begged your parents for Transformer toys at Christmas and spent hours recreating epic battles with them, then Transformers One is the movie you’ve been waiting for.

Killer Soundtrack

If you’re a fan of animated movies, sci-fi, action, and killer soundtracks, then this movie is definitely for you.

The music in the trailer immediately brings a surge of nostalgia, echoing the energy of the classic cartoons and the iconic 1986 Transformers: The Movie. Brian Tyler, known for his work on Super Mario Brothers, Crazy Rich Asians, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Fast Five, is the genius behind the Transformers One score. His compositions have a way of hitting you right in the feels, enhancing the entire viewing experience and making it truly unforgettable.

Speaking of which, take a look at the trailer below and you’ll know what I mean!

Hemsworth Humour

Aussie’s own Chris Hemsworth takes on the role of Orion Pax/Optimus Prime and makes it his own. He’s amazing as an action star but I think he excels at action comedy. He knows how to deliver a line with the right energy to have you laughing hard.

The short trailer shows the dynamic between him, and Brian Tyree Henry is sure to be comedy duo gold.

Set a reminder for September 19, head to the cinema, grab some snacks, and settle in for a hilarious, entertaining, sci-fi action movie sure to make your nostalgic heart smile and your blood pump.
