What Makes the Royal Adelaide Show Unmissable?

There are two pretty amazing new rides this year we want to shout about!

First up, THE JOKER! this one is for the adrenaline junkies! The Joker is the looping sensation providing the ultimate thrill. Swinging 24 metres over the crowds, the full 360-degree revolution pulls 4.5G’s of negative force. With two more rotating movements, there is nothing else like it.

Next up, BEACH PARTY! Catch a wave on the Beach Party! The smooth lifting and rotating movements carry riders 6m high into the air in free-spinning cars and carriages for a totally awesome ride. This is a great ride for every member of the family to ride together!

Free Fun for Everyone!

Worried about the cost? Don’t be! The Royal Adelaide Show is packed with free activities to do at the show. So much so we recommend you check out these 100 free activities that the whole family will love, and might give your purse or wallet some breathing space too!

Of course, you can’t go past Royal Show essentials, including:

  • Farmyard Nursery: Get up close and personal with adorable baby animals at the Farmyard Nursery.
  • The Main Arena By day it’s a vibrant centre of the Royal Adelaide Show, as the top horses compete and marvel at the grand parade featuring champions from various animal categories. Young farmers from across the country demonstrate their skills in the Australian Young Farmer Challenge, vying for the champion title. As night falls, the Main Arena becomes a gathering spot for showgoers, where they can enjoy thrilling performances and end the evening with loads of adrenaline-filled entertainment, finishing off with a spectacular fireworks display.
  • Street Performers: Be amazed by magicians, jugglers, and acrobats as they entertain crowds throughout the showground.

Getting There

Parking can be tricky, but getting to the Royal Adelaide Show is a breeze with public transport:

  • Dedicated Show Buses: Special buses will take you straight to the showground from key locations, making it easy to get there and back.
  • Trams & Trains: The showground is conveniently located just a short walk from the Goodwood Road tram stop and the Showground Train Station

Getting your tickets for the 2024 Royal Adelaide Show is easy and can be done online for convenience. Early bird tickets are available at a discounted rate, so it’s best to purchase them in advance to save money and avoid queues. Tickets grant you access to all the free entertainment, shows, and exhibitions. Family packages are also available, making it affordable for the whole family to enjoy the day.

Don’t forget they have the carnival rides vouchers again too, which can save you a packet on rides and soideshows. These can be purchased at the Yellow Brick Road stands together with the ticketing boxes at the entrance.

RAA members save 5% discount and discounted tickets can be purchased at Foodland Supermarkets too!
