ALDI Australia has issued a voluntary recall of their Expressi Stainless Steel Travel Mug.Â
The discount supermarket chain has apologised to its customers. Assuring them that they take ‘product quality and safety very seriously‘.
Available in 8 colours, the Expressi double wall stainless steel travel mug is 400ml in size. It’s identifying product code is 56713 and the product was supplied by H&H Asia Ltd.
A favourite with mums for its stylish, good looks and practical use, the product is now deemed to be risky.
‘The recall is due to the lid not locking securely,’ the retailer said. ‘On the rare occasion this may occur, the lid may project off under pressure and there is a risk of scalding. Customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full cash refund. We apologise for any inconvenience.’
All ALDI Expressi Stainless Steel Travel Mugs purchased between May 10 and June 6 2017 should be immediately returned for cash refund.
