A three-year-old Filipino girl pronounced dead after suffering a fever has awakens a day later – inside her coffin and during her funeral ceremony.
A 3-year-old girl who was pronounced dead came back to life during her own funeral at a church in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
A resident of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, the girl was pronounced dead after she was unconscious and unresponsive on Friday morning after being rushed to hospital, suffering a severe fever.
“During that time, the attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9am,” Police Senior Inspector Heidil Teelan was quoted as saying.
The child was declared dead at 9 a.m. Friday and was set for burial at 1 p.m. the next day.
During the funeral arrangements the next day, the family got the surprise of their life when the little girl came back to life.
As they started to make the necessary funeral arrangements inside church of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur for the priest to administer the last sacrament, someone noticed the child’s head moving underneath a cover inside the coffin.
“This prompted them to check and confirmed the girl had pulse and was alive,” Teelan told the Philippine Star.
