Streets Issue Blue Ribbon Ice Cream Recall Due to Foreign Matter in Tubs

UNILEVER has recalled 1.25 and 2-litre Blue Ribbon ice cream tubs sold around the countryย due to instancesย of plastic pieces being found in the tub, posing an injury risk.

Those affected will haveย a best before date range betweenย April 28, 2017 and April 27, 2018 and should notย be eaten.

According to reports, during the production process, plastic pieces have found their way into the tubs via machinery at Unileverโ€™s Minto factory, home to where the Blue Ribbon products are made.

This recall is a โ€œprecautionary measureโ€ only and tubs with a best before date afterย April 28, 2018 are not affected.

Products can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
