Fancy a cold one? Head to the freezer and grab yourself an ice cold condom.Â
If you’ve just given birth, it will seriously be the best thing you do all day.
Just when you thought your condom days were behind you (for a few weeks at least!), there’s another reason to stock up on the latex. Frozen condoms. Word is they make excellent post-birth ice packs for your lady bits.
Frozen condoms after birth? Yes please!
Australian dad and blogger Martin Wanless shared this simple idea which he discovered after his wife gave birth. Now heaps of women are learning firsthand just how soothing frozen condoms after birth can be.
“After a few days at home with a screaming ankle biter, and having recently witnessed your partner’s vagina being turned inside out and a little person pushed out of it, neither of you will be wanting or even thinking about risking anything down there for at least a matter of weeks,” Martin writes.
“However, make sure you’re stocked up on condoms. Filled with water and frozen, they’re the perfect shape to rest in between new mum’s legs and ease a bit of pain and swelling.”
Post-birth recovery just got a whole lot easier! But here’s an important tip – only use the frozen condom to soothe the OUTSIDE of your post-birth body.
Freeze, sore lady bits!
Not a fan of the whole frozen condoms after birth idea? Another awesome idea to soothe those bruised body parts are these post-baby padsicles, which are literally Aloe Vera smeared and then frozen on your Libra pad (or whatever brand you prefer).
Place one between your legs and you’ve got another way to sooth your sore and battered bits.
