Gummy Bears Recipe: Homemade and Sure to Hit Your Sweet Spot!

Looking for a sweet treat that’s not loaded with unnatural colourings or artificial flavourings for the little (or big) people in your family? This homemade gummy bear recipe is the answer!

Anyone who suffers from food allergies or sensitivities knows that it’s not always that simple of a task. Alas, there IS a solution… with jelly.

You can make your own gummy bears at home. Yep, a homemade gummy bears recipe for the win!

NOTE: You will need a mould to make this gummy bear recipe. You could use a silicone ice cube tray with small shapes or you can buy one of these super cool gummy bear mould sets from Amazon, including a dropper for easy pouring of the jelly mixture.

Ingredients

For each colour gummy bear (approximately two trays of gummy bears)

Method

1. Pour the water into a small saucepan on low heat.

2. Add the jelly crystals and the added tablespoon of gelatin. Mix until dissolved and then remove from the heat.

3. Place your gummy bear moulds on a tray so it’s easy to move to the fridge without spilling.

4. Using a dropper, fill your gummy bear moulds.

5. Place them in the fridge for an hour to set properly before taking them out of the mould.

6. Repeat the above steps for each different colour gummy bear!

7. Keep your freshly made gummy bears in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, though we doubt they’ll last that long before they’re gobbled up!
