Tennis champ Serena Williams and her tech fiancé Alexis Ohanian are the proud parents of a baby girl.
The baby arrived safely via caesarian birth, according to reports from the US overnight.
An entire floor of the St Mary’s Medical Centre, near the couple’s Palm Beach Home, was apparently cleared to offer Serena maximum privacy, after she checked in last Wednesday to be induced.
There’s no word yet on the baby’s name, but she is reported to weigh in at a healthy 3.09 kilograms. The arrival comes only a few weeks after Serena’s celebrity pals threw her a fun ’50s themed baby shower.
New aunt, Venus Williams, confirmed the happy news when she took to the court at the US Open.
“Obviously I’m super excited,” Venus said. “Words can’t describe.”
Gal pal Beyonce took to social media to let her fans know and to wish her best to her friend.
US Open officials also tweeted their congratulations to the new parents.
Congratulations to @serenawilliams for giving birth to a baby girl!

Serena announced her pregnancy in an accidental Snapchat post earlier this year. The 23 times Grand Slam champion told fans back in September she suspected she was having a girl.
“Alexis thinks we’re having a boy, but I have a strong suspicion that it’s a girl. Two weeks after we found out, I played the Australian Open. I told Alexis it has to be a girl because there I was playing in 100-degree weather, and that baby never gave me any trouble. Ride or die. Women are tough that way.” she revealed in a Vogue interview.
Our congratulations to the proud first-time parents!
