You know what I did during labour? Vomited on the floor and threw a shoe at my husband.
But Missouri mum-to-be Nayzia Thomas proves she’s well ahead of her class (or at least my classy self) by finishing her final exam in between contractions.
At 39 weeks pregnant, the motivated young mum-to-be wasn’t going to let labour slow her down and keep her away from finishing her year with top marks.
Nayzia shared an image of her typing through labour from her hospital bed, desperately trying to finish her psych exam before the end of semester (and before pushing bubba out).

As Nayzia pressed send on her exam, she also prepared to push. She welcomed her first child, baby boy, Anthony Alexander Johnson with her boyfriend, Daivon on 12 December, 2017.
Nayzia shared a second sweet image of herself with baby Anthony and Daivon. Same hospital bed. Same hospital gown. No computer or textbooks in sight. Just a mum and dad with their brand new bundle of joy.
update: on 12/12/17 we had a healthy baby boy. However, I experienced major blood loss & my body went into shock post-delivery. It was very scary, but his father was right there to take over when I went unconscious. We are blessed! AND I’m finishing the semester w/ a 3.5 GPA!💪🏾 pic.twitter.com/CLFGjf3hLD

Studying with bub
The new mum says she plans to take a month off for school break to bask in the newborn stage before returning to school again.
Both her mum and boyfriend are also in school, getting their degrees, but the family plan to work around their schedules to ensure Anthony is always cared for. Yes, it’s a balancing act, but it’s one that Nayzia is ready to perform. And probably ace.
