About Mum Central and the Mum Central Awards
Over the past 15 years, Mum Central has supported parents by sharing advice, stories, and product recommendations that make the parenting journey a bit easier. In that time we’ve grown a highly engaged online community of over 1.2 million mums, while our website attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every month! Our mission has always been to support parents by recommending products that have made a difference in our parenting journey while also showcasing the amazing brands behind these life-enhancing products.
The Mum Central Awards provide businesses—big or small—with the opportunity to shine and connect with our vibrant audience. We can’t wait to reveal the shortlists and watch as the votes roll in to determine the GOLD, SILVER, and BRONZE winners in each category. Since winners are decided by votes, it’s also a fantastic chance to rally your loyal customers and share your nomination across your channels.
In its inaugural year, the Mum Central Awards received over 200 nominations across 41 categories and a total of 130,000 individual votes across the awards program. Of real importance is that the average voting slip included 16 categories – a great example that they’re not just coming on to vote for one product or category, and are keen to have their say across the board.
With a vibrant community of over a million Australian mums, we’re thrilled to launch our second annual Mum Central Awards, celebrating the brands and products that you love.

What’s New for 2025?
We were absolutely thrilled with the success of the 2024 Mum Central Awards, our very first year, which saw incredible participation and enthusiasm from both brands and our community.
Based on the interest, valuable feedback, and learnings from last year, we’ve refined the awards for 2025 by expanding some categories, retiring others, and introducing brand-new ones to better reflect the needs of Aussie mums.
Be sure to explore the updated category list to see where your brand or products fit best. Many brands will find multiple category options to enter—and there’s no limit to the number of nominations you can make as long as the criteria are met.
Here’s How It Works:
Stage 1: Nominations and Submissions
- Nominate Your Favourite Products and Services: As a consumer, if there’s a product or company that has made a positive impact on your parenting journey, nominate them. It’s free and easy to do.
- Submit an Application for your Business: If you’re a business owner with a product, brand, or service that supports parents, nominate yourself. Our application process is straightforward and designed for businesses of all sizes.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Nominations close on 28 February 2025. Nominees will be notified promptly and can complete their application if they wish. Applications close on 24 March 2025.
Stage 2: Nominees Announced and Voting Opens – On 24 March 2025, we’ll announce the official nominees, and voting will commence. Voting is free, and all participants will enter a draw to win a $300 JB Hi-Fi gift card. You can vote for multiple products or brands across various categories, with each vote increasing your chances in the draw.

Stage 3: Winners Announced – On 21 May 2025, we’ll reveal the Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners in each category on the Mum Central website and across our social channels.

Absolutely! We encourage you to nominate as many favourites as you’d like.

2. CAN YOU NOMINATE YOURSELF?

3. CAN I NOMINATE A PRODUCT IN MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY?
Of course! As long as the categories suit, you can nominate the same product across multiple categories. For instance, if you’ve developed a brand new eco travel baby product, you might submit it for Best Travel Product, Best Product for Baby, Best New Product of the Year, and Best Eco Product .
CAN I NOMINATE SEVERAL PRODUCTS?
Yes! If your brand offers multiple amazing products, feel free to nominate them all. Just make sure to pick the most fitting categories for each product, as descriptions may need to be tailored to the target category.
CAN I SHARE MY NOMINATION WITH MY FOLLOWERS TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO VOTE?
Absolutely! We encourage all nominees to share their nominations far and wide. Use your social channels, email newsletters, or any platform where your followers engage with you.
To help with this, nominees will receive a Mum Central Nominations Awards Badge and access to an asset kit to help promote your nomination and encourage votes.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF SOMEONE ELSE NOMINATES ME, AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Firstly, congratulations! If someone nominates you, you’ll receive an email notification with the details of your nomination, including the category. It’s then up to you to decide whether to proceed and become an official nominee by submitting your application.
IS THERE A FEE FOR THE AWARDS?
- For nominating your favourite product or brand: It’s completely free.
- For submitting an application for your business: Fees apply. Details are outlined in the self-nomination form.
HOW DOES VOTING WORK?
Voting for your favourite product or service is free. Each voter can submit one voting form and cast one vote per category. You can vote in as many or as few categories as you like—it’s up to you!
As an added bonus, by voting, you’ll automatically enter the draw to win a $300 JB Hi-Fi Gift Card.
WHAT DO AWARD WINNERS RECEIVE?
The top three winners in each category—Gold, Silver, and Bronze—will receive:
- A permanent spot on the Mum Central Awards Winner’s List published on Mum Central.
- A featured listing including product description, price, URL (with a do-follow link), and an image with their award badge.
Best of all, every award winner will receive the prestigious Mum Central Award Badge to showcase their accomplishment, along with the opportunity to leverage their win in future marketing activities.
