Speedo recalls its Sea Squad Float Vests after it was found the floats can separate, causing a potential drowning hazard.

Product description

2 style versions – pink/purple & blue/orange.
3 size versions – ages 1-2, 2-4 & 4-6.

The affected products can be identified by the octopus and shark characters that are printed on the vest – one on the front right side and a larger one on the back.

What are the defects?

The floats within the vests may potentially separate, moving from the front to the back.

What are the hazards?

Movement of the floats within the vest affects buoyancy of the product, compromising balance in the water and presenting a potential drowning hazard.
