I don’t know about you, but I have a real love affair with the Gold Coast.
Anyone that knows me would say hands-down I love that place. There’s so much to do, so many places to see and, of course, all that year-round sunshine!
So I didn’t have to think twice when the team at Ruby Collection invited me to come and try out their brand new apartment tower! It was a much-needed mini holiday away and the perfect opportunity to reconnect as a family and spend some (much-needed) quality time together with (and without) the kids!

Perfect for groups of all sizes, the Ruby Collection is not just for families either! Perfect for girls’ weekends, groups of couples and large groups who travel together, it really has something for everyone!
All rooms come with free wifi, a self-contained laundry, and fully functional kitchens to name a few. But it’s the view that really sets them apart! I honestly could have sat on our balcony for days, totally mesmerised by the beautiful vista the Gold Coast has to offer!
Food glorious food
Ruby Collection offers a wealth of food and dining options, with Stones Bar and Grill offering a-la-carte dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Included in our stay was a buffet breakfast each day and was a welcome sight from the typical cooked breakfasts. You could order them if you wanted, however we were totally happy with the juices, cereals, cold meats, fresh fruit, desserts, bakery and more. Check out the video footage for more details … yum!
The pizza was a winner with the boys for lunch one day and we really loved the casual dining atmosphere (either inside or out!)
Paradise for Kids, Even Better for Parents
You may already know Paradise Resort, popular for its incredible resort activities, amazing kids’ club and exhilarating three-story Z4k Waterpark. It’s stacked with slides, cannons, climbing frames and a giant bucket that fills with water. My two boys absolutely loved it! It was like spending the afternoon at Wet ‘N Wild, but without the crowds (or the costs).
Each child receives one complimentary kid’s club session at Paradise Resort. Trust me, they’re going to LOVE IT, and you’re going to look forward to it! Additional passes can be purchased, and they form a perfect opportunity for mums and dads to have some much-needed time out.
Plus, kids get unlimited access to both waterparks and swimming pools. For mums and dads, it’s the adults only jacuzzi area! Yes, you heard me!
So much to do!
Also, Paradise Resort offers a non-stop variety of incredible activities on site all day long. Spending time as a family is important for me when we’re on holidays and The Ruby Apartments have so much on offer for everyone. Zumba, live music, trivia, wine and cheese tasting for us adults, and teddy bear making, outdoor movies, cupcake decorating, board games and so much more for us to do with the kids. Some are all-inclusive, others have a small fee but neither will break the bank (or your family’s budget).
We still ensured we had plenty of downtime to enjoy the many amenities of the hotel. After a tiring day at a crowded themepark, or a busy day out and about, it was so nice to come back to the resort and just chill out while the kids continued their adventures at the pool and water park.

All in all, we loved our time at Ruby Collection, and left raving fans.
The boys loved the mix between spacious apartment and adrenaline at Paradise Resort and I felt it was the perfect mix between luxury self-contained accommodation with the fun and family-friendly features right next door at Paradise Resort. I loved the independence of the apartment-style living, kids with their own rooms and all the luxury that came with it.
The boys felt so fulfilled, it was such a great location to base ourselves as we explored the Gold Coast and all its attractions and at the end of the day the perfect place to return to and chill out as the day came to a close.
Without a doubt, we’ll be back. Next time though, I’ve got my eye on one the three bedroom villa. You know, the one with its own private jacuzzi! 😉
