SAFETY ALERT: Jolly Jumper Stands Recalled Amid Safety Fears

Do you use a Jolly Jumper with a stand? Then stop, because a safety recall has just been issued for the Jolly Jumper Port-a-Stand.

Product Safety Australia put out the Jolly Jumper alert over concerns that the locking bolt on the stand could break, making the stand unstable.

Fitnesswise, makers of the Jolly Jumper, will provide replacement bolts to people with stands. The product should not be used until the parts are replaced.

“The threaded parts of the locking bolt used to lock the top assembly have the potential to break when too much force is put on the black knob whilst assembling or disassembling the product. The hook used to hold the harness is welded to the frame and only the locking bolt that is used to tighten the frame is affected,” the recall says.

“If the locking bolt breaks during use it may make the stand unstable.”

Stop Use

“Consumers should stop using the product and contact Jolly Jumper on 02 9971 0470 or 02 9971 7044, or email

to arrange delivery of a replacement “U” section with hook and black knob.”

The recall affects the Jolly Jumper Port-A-Stand Set and Stand only, sold through Baby Bunting between July and December 2017 and the Port-A-Stand Set sold through Big W between August & October 2017.
