[mc_block_title custom_title=”Stop 6: Â Remarkable Rocks & Flinders Chase National Park”]
We ended up spending way  more time than we’d planned at Little Sahara so took off heading for Flinders Chase National Park a little later than expected. By the time we arrived, got our car park pass from the office and got underway, the sun was setting.
We made the call to hit Remarkable Rocks for a quick climb and some happy snaps before rushing over to Admiral’s Arch for what we thought would be sunset. Remarkable Rocks was great fun although it’s to be respected that you’re climbing around on rocks that head straight into the sea so it’s a matter of safety first and eyes on the kids AT ALL TIMES! That said, they loved it – wow what an adventure!
As luck would have it our view soon turned to overcast clouds and the sunset quickly disappeared so we were unable to make it to Admirals’ Arch. I must admit I was pretty devo but we were just running out of light FAST and I wasn’t going to risk our safety on the 20 minute boardwalk down to the beach each way. It’s one of the most spectacular places to visit so while I am kicking myself we didn’t go there instead, it’s going to be a focus on our next trip over to KI (for longer!)  Until then, you’ll have to enjoy this gorgeous shot of Admiral’s Arch, courtesy of SA Tourism Commission! Check it out!
[mc_block_title custom_title=”Stop 7: Â Honey Tasting at Island Beehive, Kingscote”]
First up for us on day 2 was a quick stop in at Island Beehive at Kingscote for some honey tasting. Admittedly I eat honey but I don’t LOVE honey so really wasn’t expecting too much. That said I was pretty impressed at some of the flavours of the honey we purchased, so much so we bought a couple of different varieties to take home adn we’ve put a good dent in them already! Of course we couldn’t go past a good coffee to start our day so jumped right in for their devonshire tea and devoured a couple of home made scones with fresh honey and cream. #meltsinyourmouth
[mc_block_title custom_title=”Stop 8: Â Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park”]
So here’s where the day got interesting!
Next up we headed towards Parndana to see the all the animals at Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. For those who don’t know my 4 year-old Alex, he absolutely LOVES animals so a stop here was a must!
We arrived to just in time for the Koala session and watched the penguin feeding, then went into the open range area and the boys got to hand feed a massive number of wallabies and kangaroos which you can see from the pics below, they loved!
And of course, I faced my fears in the scariest possible way at the Reptile presentation and agreed to hold this diamond python. Only thing is I was all smiles to start with thinking this was easy, then the snake started constricting around my hand and neck and well, my face says it all! #braveforasecond
[mc_block_title custom_title=”Stop 9: Â Stokes Bay (TOP SPOT!)”]
After KI Wildlife Park we headed out to Stokes Bay to explore what was promised to be a gorgeous beach and coastline (and they weren’t wrong!) Â We were told of a ‘secret entrance’ to the beach via a gap in the rocks and let’s just say it was a magical journey through the rock to come out to the other side to a massive bay full of gorgeous sand, rockpools and surf.
The boys ran for the shore and we hung out for a while splashing around and taking in the beautiful beach experience. Â Truly stunning we quickly called this as the most gorgeous beach we’d found thus far and perfect for a day at the beach, protected, private and safe for the kids!
[mc_block_title custom_title=”Special Mention: The Rockpool Cafe”]
We stopped for lunch at The Rockpool Cafe and have to say the food was amazing! It definitely got our vote for the best food on the trip! My salt and pepper squid was divine and as they say, we try to keep it simple so we can focus on great food (and they didn’t disappoint!)
[mc_block_title custom_title=”Homeward Bound”]
Finally we started heading back towards Penneshaw to board our ferry home. On the way we discovered the most incredible lookout at Pennington Bay (must see!) and stopped for some gorgeous snaps. The kids by now were all tuckered out so that gave us a nice chance to just chill out by the bay watching the surf roll in and enjoy the peace and quiet before returning back to the craziness of city life.
Â
And before we knew it we were back at the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal, ready to board our boat back to the mainland. Wow what a whirlwind of a weekend! Â We had food, wildlife, coastline, gorgeous vistas and a really fabulous outdoor adventure that the whole family loved. We connected, bonded, laughed (and cried – yes there were tears!) and really had an incredible time as a family on a new adventure.
So if you’ve been thinking about heading over to Kangaroo Island but not too sure if it’ll be your thing, the one thing I’ll say to you is to give it a go. There’s so many different types of accommodation available, adventure tours, camping, and of course allow more than a weekend to take it all in as it’s a BIG island with so much to offer! Â We had a blast and it really helped us work out what we wanted to do when we COME BACK NEXT TIME!

I went such a long time ago before children and camped but had an amazing time. Seeing wildlife everywhere and up close is my best memory. We’d love to go to KI again with our family. We were planning on going on our 10 year olds birthday in November so the opportunity to win a trip would be amazing.
I love KI for the beauty and wildlife. I think our kids would love the experience to go and see all the kangaroos and wallabies in their natural habitat. Explore the beaches and see the Seals at Seal Bay.

Oh they’ll love it!
Visiting Seal Bay Conservation Park
It’s not often you get an opportunity to get up close and personal with sea lions, but at this bay, the home of Australia’s third-largest colony of sea lions, you can watch them play in their natural environment not much more than a couple of arm lengths away.
Wildlife and exploring the island, filled with natural beauty.
Everything!!! But mr 5 would most love the raptors
a beautiful place to explore nature and take in all the scenery and natural beauty. great place for a family holiday our girls would love the sea lions and wildlife park.
Everything seemed like it be amazing to see but my kids would love the raptor domain the best and it sounds awesome too

The Sea Lions would be awesome to see up close. Also all the scenery would be amazing to see on some lovely family walks!
The whole thing! It brings back so many memories of my childhood trips to Kangaroo Island. I went to all of those places and spent many hours wandering around Kingscote with my siblings and cousin. Such a beautiful place to get away to!

Your whole trip looked like so much fun. KI has such beautiful scenery and wildlife. Your kids look like they were having an absolute ball ☺
I last went to KI when I was pregnant with my first child (now 9). We still managed to do and see lots of great things and I would love to go back there with my kids and show them the animals (especially the seals).
I loved that there is so much to do as a family. My little family would have a great time. My kids would especially love the ferry trip.
Going to Kangaroo Island has been in our bucket list adventure to see the wild seals!
KI seems perfect for a fun family adventure & it appears that your family had a ball especially sliding down the sand dunes. The Raptor Domain looks amazing & an obvious highlight for your whole family. My boys would love getting up close & personal with the eagles too.
The whole adventure looks and sounds amazing, at awesome family bonding time. What I love the most was the holiday was the visit to the beehive and wildlife park. With my kids I always like showing and teaching them about nature.

I love that it is a wonderful place for exploring. Nature and exploring always guarantees a smile on my boys faces! A great place to discover!!
Penguin feeding! Who doesn’t love penguins! I saw it when I was young, one of my earliest memories – I am dying to take my little girl to see them and to feed the wallabies too – she will love it.
The memories! We went to Kangaroo Island when we’d been married 6 months – pre kids. Our best man is a farmer on the island and we went to visit with them. All these photos – the scenery, the descriptions… it brings back the joy of that time spent with great friends. We plan to return – for more than two days (!) and spend time with our kids exploring these same areas while also spending quality time with quality friends. Thanks for the memories 🙂
I love seeing the happy faces and wonderful memories these experiences gave to your family.
It sounds like a fantastic holiday destination for the family, definitely one that we’d like to try out soon!
Without a doubt, your visit to Seal Bay. For me that is the quintessential & defining part of any family holiday to KI.
The huge amount of nature and nature in perfect condition!
Seal Bay & just the natural beauty of the Island. Our family
love animal’s & nature.
Sounds like the perfect holiday for my family since my son also adores animals and reptiles and to see sea lions as well would be a bonus as we could not see any seals on our last trip to Phillip Island which was a bit of a disappointment.
All the animal activities are lovely to see! I’ve never been to Kangaroo island and would love to see it’s wildlife, especially seals if I could 🙂
Seal Bay. I find seals such beautiful and fascinating creatures!

My family love outdoor adventures. We definitely want to visit Kangaroo Island.
I love the fact that activieties at Kangaroo Island are either involving animals or outdoor. I know for sure my son will love love love the raptor, where he got to meet spiders and snakes. As for me and hubby, we’d love to try the sand dunes.
I struggle with the best bit because it all sounded amazing and fun. But if I had to choose it was the smiles of your boys faces on the sand dunes. I did like your expressions when holding the python yhough. Sounded like a wonderful family holiday in a spectacular destination with lasting memories.
Looks amazing. Love how there are so many activities to do as a family and in nature…in a world of technology its so important to get kids outside enjoying what nature offers like the sanddunes and remarkable rocks and all the animals (seals and reptiles). KI is on top of my list of places to go just havnt been able to yet.
Went to KI years ago, would be great to take the kids now – they’d love it. One of the most beautiful places in the world?
Would love to go and experience natural wildlife and unspoilt beauty literally a stones thrown away , within my beautiful state , so much to do , and learn .. A family get together with lasting memories to cherish

I was a kid when I went, had a bad experience as the beach shack my parents had rented had mice in it on our arrival. So I would to take my son and get hands on with the awesome stuff you’ve shown us on your family trip, sightseeing, wildlife, food it looks amazing!!
The Raptor visit, I know my son will just LOVE to do that! I spent a lot of time at KI as a kid myself and haven’t been back in so many years, only once as an adult. I can’t wait to take my son as explore!

WOW looks like there is SOOOO much to do there, my daughters would LOVE it.. not to mention the hubby and me….
My husband and I have been looking at a family holiday at Kangaroo Island for my 40th birthday this year, as we don’t have a lot of spare money and cannot get a lot of time off from work. I have been doing some research and found it hard to find reviews of the accommodation and activities at Kangaroo Island for families with very young children. I loved the review. It looks beautiful and I think my kids will love the raptor visit and the beautiful beaches.
I have never been, It looks like an amazing place
I loved KI last time I visited with university. the scenery is fantastic and I would love to take my family as they have never been. I want to share my experience and show my children the joys of what the outside world has to offer.
I loved that your family had so much fun with quality bonding time in such an idyllic location and that you shared these treasured moments – It bought back many childhood memories for me and I would love to experience these wonderful moments with my young family. Also, thank you for demonstrating how the simple things in life are the most important especially in a world that is so fast paced and where natural beauty and quality time is often overlooked.
We loved your Kangaroo Island visit because you let us know how easy it is to get there and how we all could enjoy it. It’s only a sea link away from the best adventure we could possibly experience.
I would love to follow in your footsteps, we have never been, but it sounds amazing
Have always wanted to go to KI with the family, this would make it truly amazing.
This would be amazing

I would love to go and explore kangaroo island with my kids as it looks like such a beautiful place and I’ve always wanted to go.
The whole experience is amazing, the beaches are the hi light for me. So pretty.
I love that it’s suitable for any age, but most of all that it’s a holiday that brings the family back to nature, to enjoy quality time together experiencing and exploring a little paradise creating strong bonds and memories to last a lifetime!
There is so much to do for the kids and the adults. To see the reptiles up close and personal plus see majestic eagles and other birds of prey, play on the sand dunes of Little Sahara and I love quad bikes and would love to try kayaking. So much to keep everyone occupied. More than I ever expected – definitely a must visit.
Looks like a fab place to discover nature at its finest with the kids!
Love your family’s holiday story. It would be a wonderful opportunity visiting the Kangaroo Island with my family.
Loved that so much of your time was outdoors!! Looks amazing
We asked the kids and it’s a toss up between 2! Seal Bay (our son has been asking for some time if he can meet a seal – go figure!) … And the other favourite from your visit was Raptor Domain as our daughter (actually all of us!) would like to get up close to a wedge-tail eagle! The hands-on experience with the wildlife really appeals to us and we would love the chance to take part in something like that!
on a mission to see Australia and your photos make it look like it would be an awesome adventure for our outdoor loving boys

How fantastic that so much can be done in such a short period of time. A great lot of unique memories in such a small space. Love it!
I haven’t been to KI since I was little and I would love to share this trip with my own family. KI is jammed packed with beautiful wildlife and scenery. KI Wildlife Park would be my highlight exploring a gorgeous beach and coastline – how awesome and breathtaking! Would ideally like to share this experience with all my friends and family.
I went to KI as a young teenager with my family, 20 something years later I have been reminiscing about it and would love to take my kids back… I remember the remarkable rocks, seal bat, the little Sahara desert… Great memories always stay!

Your adventures look great, kangaroo island looks like a great place to teach your children about the good things in life, nature and to get away from all the technology.
I’d love to take my family here, to show my 3yo more of that natural things in life and because we have never been on a holiday as a family nor by ourselves in over 10 years, it would be great to get away together.
Loved the part on Stokes Bay. Looks like you loved the serenity and i would someday love to go there too
What a fantastic adventure. I particularly loved your visit to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park. I have a 2 year old keen animal lover who just love to get up close with the animals.

What an awesome, action-packed weekend you had! This is exactly the type of holiday my family loves. For me the highlight would be visiting Remarkable Rocks and the spectacular Admiral’s Arch. My phone would be filled with photos from these stunning locations. My family would also love sand boarding.
its beautiful, what a wonderful place to visit
I have never been, as a child or an adult.
Now with a family of three kids, myself and my partner- this would be an unforgettable experience, that would be treasured by us parents spending time holidaying with our children, but building lasting memories of our beautiful country that they can fondly look back on, and hopefully one day, take their children to go and see.
My children are 16, 14, and 9 so I feel they would get the full, amazing experience of seeing seals in their natural habitat, and a jam packed 2 days of exploration in one of Australia’s most beautiful places to visit.
Ohhh, a family holiday is just a dream to us, but with a competition to possibly win- makes me all the more hopeful that we could one day soon be able to take our children on an amazing family holiday to create long lasting memories!
I have never been, but everyone I know that has returned raving about the place!
It sounds so spontaneous and fun filled, although I’m sure much planning was involved for such a great outdoors holiday!
I loved that there was so much to see and do , and fun for all ages . What a great adventure you all had.
Seal Bay! Looks amazing! I would love to be able to see sea lions so close up and watch their funny behaviour! My animal lover daughter would be besotted by them too I’d say! What a lovely holiday you’ve had and great pics – thanks for sharing! x

All the animals because the kids love interacting with them!
Everything! I love that there are so many things to do that you don’t expect. It’s a hidden gem!
The utter majesty of Stokes Bay grabs my heart. The water looks so clear, the sweep of sand gloriously empty and just magnificent. And who can resist a roc kpool?
So many great activities for the kids
I visited Kangaroo Island several times as a child and my favourite place to visit there was definitely seal bay, just to seem them as close as you do is amazing and especially because it is in there natural environment

I went years ago just after the bush fires. I would love to go back and visit. It is such a beautiful place. My favourite is admirals arch.
I loved how you had fun and spent time with your family. Kids grow up so fast and you have now given them a memory that will last forever. Kangaroo Island is a magical and beautiful place not too far from Adelaide. Everyone should get there at least once in their lifetime.
looks great
I love the scenery depicted, the rugged rocks and rockpools, the sand dunes, and of course the beautiful wildlife encounters. Would love to share this with my niece.

Australia has many amazing destinations for families holidays. Kangaroos Island is one of famous Australian destinations. It is a super fun place for every family. Thank you.
It was a family adventure that really captivated the spirit of Kangaroo Island. Stokes Bay, so pristinely natural and unpretentious got me dreaming about my own kids running along the shore and giggling with excitement … so that was my fave.
Best place to see all parts of our amazing nature – from the sea to the dunes, the animals to the inland, foodie holiday and the best of the outdoors. My kids would love this.
We have been once to Kangaroo Island and would love to go again. We didn’t get to the raptor park so on our list of things to do.
I would love to go with hubby and the kids to Kangaroo Island considering I’ve lived in SA for over 20 years and never been. Our state is too beautiful to ignore!
It’s been years since I’ve visited KI, and would love to take my two kids along to get back to nature. They need to experience life without electronics!
I have never been & would LOVE to go to Kangaroo Island. The seals, animal sanctuary….everything would be an AMAZING experience for the whole fam
I could not believe how much stuff there was to do on such a small island! The kids and adults alike were equally impressed! The sand hills (Little Sahara) were a huge hit!
Didn’t realise how much there was to do. The beaches look lovely.
It looks like a fantastic family destination!!
It is a great opportunity to see sea lions and playing on the astonishing beaches with my family in the Kangroo Island. Thank you.

As usual the food has me wanting to be there now, now, now! The Rockpool Cafe food looked incredible and the location ideal.
I loved the all the natural beauty of Kangaroo island. It was a breathtaking trip with plenty to see and do. The only problem is we haven’t been back yet!
What I liked was it was a beautiful fun family trip and it looked liked the kids and the grown ups had fun. It has made me what to do that with my little family we haven’t had a family trip since my second child was born and we need one! Kangaroo island looks stunning and a must see
The Wildlife Park – That smile! How awesome is that photo of your son? I could see my kids feeling much the same way!

What an amazing place to holiday for the whole family.
I used to go to KI every summer school holidays with my grandparents on my pa’s boat. I would love to share that magic with my own kids and start our own tradition.
I think its a great place for a holiday for anyone! You can see lots of things and have a lot of fun!
I would love to spend quality time with my children in this island. It would be great to see the children having fun.
Stokes Bay looks magical! I’d love to take my little one through the secret entrance and explore the serene untouched beauty of the beach
I have always wanted to visit KI, especially to see Seal Bay and Stokes Bay, but I think my boys would love the adventure and excitement of Little Sahara.
KI makes for happy times!
Seeing your kids at the wildlife park reminds me a lot of what my 4 angels would be like as they are all animal made and we can not drive passed an animal without stopping for photos, makes for a long drive in the country but lots of fun too.
Love your family’s holiday story. I wish that we would have lucky chance to visit the Kangroo Island soon. Thank you.
I’d be stoked to visit Stokes Bay!
Love to see the kids getting amongst nature, my kids love camping and exploring. We would love to take them to KI
The best part of your holiday story were the beautiful photos that capture the amazing experience had by all! The children look as though they are in their glory! What a wonderful destination for building memories, getting exercise and having fun outside in nature! I would love to follow suite and take my children here!
How much fun the kids seemed to have. There seemed to be so much for the kids to do and also be educational at the same time. It would be an amazing experience as a family to enjoy.
I loved seeing you all spend quality time together as a family and creating memories and photos to keep.
the photos of stokes bay, looks like a magical place for a family
Enjoyed the smiles on all of your faces as you enjoyed plenty of what Kangaroo Island has to offer!! In my 54 years as a South Aussie I have never had the pleasure of visiting and would love to share my first visit with my two grandsons, aged 4 & 5! And my hubby of course!! Thanks for the chance to win this glorious prize!! Fingers crossed!
It would be a great opportunity to visit Kangroo island because Kangroo island has astonishing beaches, wildlife, friendly local people and unforgettable adventures with my family.
I went way back in 1989 with my parents and had a amazing trip. We had a beautiful picnic up at remarkable rocks which I still remember fondly. I’d love to take my kids for this memory making trip.
All the amazing locations-what can I say,
from Stokes Bay,
to the delicious The Rockpool Cafe,
took my breath away!
I loved seeing all the seals I can’t believe how close they got! Amazing.
A perfect holiday destination for our family with sightseeing, activities and relaxation all within an hour of each other. Hubby and I went pre children and would love the opportunity to share the experience with our 2 munchkins now.
Raptor domain sounds awesome, fun and educational, I’d love my family to be able to experience it.
Never been but in awe to go!
I love that you took the kids sand boarding! It’s a great way to get the kids active and go exploring.
Kangroo Island is perfect destination for everyone . I wish that I would be there soon.
The variety of different things to see and do, all on the 1 island.
Isn’t KI just beautiful. I really want to take my kids to see their very ill great grandma who lives on the Island but we just can’t afford to get there. I use to go when I was young my dad is from the Island I have fond memories of American River and would love to show the kids where their papa grew up and all the exciting places I saw as a child. But most of all give my grandma a great big hug.
I have never been to Kangaroo Island, definitely somewhere I would love to take the kids one day.
Never been to Kangaroo Island but my parents went a year ago and loved to there. I would love to take my family. I break like this would help us so much!
My husband and I also went BK but have never had an opportunity to take the kids. We are devoting this year to taking them on short trips in SA – Deep Creek, Flinders Ranges and would love to be able to take them to see KI! We have such an amazing state with so many treasures!
Kangroo Island is perfect holiday destination for everyone because it has many beautiful spots to discover and super cool place for photos and unforgettable memories.
You showed a wide range of places and activities that will entertain the whole family including a few places I didn’t know about
Stokes Bay because it appealed to me immediately. My daughter LOVES rocks and stones and would probably have to touch every single one of them before choosing a favourite to hang on to while we were there. This would be her favourite place and I’m sure the entire family would love it too.
I love that there were no shopping centres, play centres or toy stores etc featured in your trip… Just the family enjoying the outdoors and exploring somewhere new. The natural beauty of the place really shined through with your visit. Looks like quality time with the family.
Hubby and I had a holiday to Kangaroo Island planned before we started our family… that was 8 years and four little ones ago…
I loved seeing everything you got up to (soft spot for animals over here so the Wildlife Park is a MUST!) on holidays and could imagine my family doing and enjoying the same things!
Love the family bonding. Every family should make the effort to share what looked like a wonderful experience.
Looks like a great place to have family time together
Remarkable Rocks for the view,
I love the outdoors and the big blue!
A perfect exploring day,
My style of holiday!
I visited KI years ago and I can’t believe how many activities there are now! I would love to take my son and take part in them all. The sunset at Admiral’s Arch and the raptor show sounds wonderful and the seals and honey trips would be amazing.
I love that Kangaroo island is untouched, you get to see what our beautiful country was like before we developed on everything, you can go to beaches with nobody else around and you feel like you’re the first person to ever discover that beautiful beach, it’s an amazing place. I love Seal Beach too, great spot!
I’ve wanted to take my kids here for the last 10 years and have never had the chance. It is such a beautiful place right on our doorstep. I loved seeing all your lovely photos and reading your adventure. And well done on facing your fears. I would love for my kids to be able yo have a back to nature holiday away from technology. Looks amazing.
Little Sahara looked like so much fun. Everyone’s getting outside, getting some exercise and making some awesome memories.
Looks like so much fun for the whole family, my favourite would have to be the seals.
Wow… looks like an amazing adventure… to be able to spend quality time with the family like that must be so great. I really enjoyed the part with the sand dunes and the sand board…
Stokes Bay! As soon as I read your review of going through the ‘secret entrance’ through the rocks, it brought back the fun memories of taking our kids there and the look of amazement on their faces as the rocks open up to the most beautiful beach and rock pools. We could have stayed there forever!
One thing? everything… all! What an amazing family review showing K.I. as it really is!.. Thanks. I want to go!
Never been to K.I but from what you have described, it sounds like the perfect adventure to take kids on. A jammed packed family adventure with the whole outdoor experience, what a wonderful time
The best thing is the kids interaction with the wildlife and family bonding time.
That you guys got to spend quality time as a family and had a fantastic time.
I love the kids interaction with the wildlife and the family bonding time.
I loved all the beautiful family photos. What happy memories of a wonderful family holiday.
I really loved seeing how much there is to see and do in such a small area! No way can kids get bored at such an awesome holiday destination!
Never been but look’s amazing, lots of activities for the whole family
I couldn’t believe there is soooo much to do and the fact you can self drive massively appeals to us.
What a wonderful review that makes you not only want to go to KI immediately but one that warms the heart with your beautiful family pictures! I really liked the thought of spending plenty of quality family time (technology free) with numerous activities for kids and adults alike. Hard to pinpoint a favourite but my animal-obsessed daughter would love the seals!!!
The remarkable rocks are amazing. I was lucky enough to go to Kangaroo Island a few years ago when my kids were little. We spent hours at the rocks because they are so incredible. The kids loved climbing in and out of them and taking loads of pictures. We would love to go back and spend more time exploring the Island as it is so beautiful.
Island Beehive HONEY, looked such a SWEET experience. Seeing your cheeky boys BUZZ around, and not MISS BE-HIVE at all. Lovely hot coffee too, to take the STING out of that K.I wind. Oh, how good times with family just seem to FLY by 🙂
When friends ask where they should visit in SA, I always mention Kangaroo Island, and hope they won’t ask me how many times I’ve been (never!)
I loved the child-friendly activities, my kids would love the animals and I want to see the Admiral’s Arch – sorry you missed it!
Wow this looks like such great place to get back to nature. Heard so many great things about this island
my kids will love the nature. Beach, animals and all to be seen
It is a great holiday and destination for everyone. Thank you
Love that you went to the island beehive even though you don’t love honey and ended up having a good time. The thing we do for our kids.
This holiday looks so much more appealing than a generic pool in Fiji or Bali. What amazing adventures Australia can offer our kids.
It looks such a fascinating place with so much to see
The parks and sand dunes can see my kids loving that and the sunset is something that all of us love.
The whole holiday sounds great (: It would be our first family holiday. We would love to visit the Kangaroo Island wildlife park because we love the outdoors and wildlife and I want my son to have an appreciation for wildlife and being outside.
Definitely the sand dunes, I can just imagine how much fun that would have been and the picture you took from the top was just sensational! I think is need some convincing to get up there too!
Perfect weather and Perfect place -The Kangroo Island has all answers for perfect family’s holiday.Thank you
i loved the fact that your family was outdoors spending quality time with eachother and having a great time. i would love to do this with my kids 🙂 x
Everything!! I loved that it was so family oriented and that you were able to explore all that Kangaroo Island has and in the end you can have beautiful family memories.
Looks like you had a blast! We went a few years back but didn’t go to Little Sahara as our daughter was too young…shes now perfect age to go back and have fun in the sand!
Belinda with the snake!
We took the kids a few years ago so it would be great to take them now they are older & can actually remember the adventures! My favourite was looking for penguins at night & following them back to their homes after a long day looking for food in the ocean.
EVERYTHING!! We love kangaroo island, if it wasn’t as expensive we would visit more often!!
Awesome. Never been before.
We went on our honeymoon and loved it. All the stories about the things you got up to with your children makes me want to go as a family. They’d love all the wildlife. The raptor place sounds amazing.
Dunes…little sahara… honey tasting but most of all the family having fun, close to nature and away from hustle and bustle of the city.
The Raptor Domain, getting up close and personal with the reptiles and birds must have been an amazing experience.
I love that you were able to jam pack so much positive family time and give the kids experiences they’ll remember for life in a couple of days. I went to K.I with my parents as a kid and it’s one of my fondest memories with my family that I plan on passing on to my daughter.
What a wonderful trip, I love how many different activities you managed to do in a couple of days and that there’s not a lot of driving between them!
Absolutely loved the serenity, peace & quiet whilst surrounded by magnificent sights & wildlife at kangaroo island. My husband and I went 4 years ago and would now love to take the kids to experience how amazing it is over there. Pauls place & raptor domain being high on the list for activities for the kids! And what a better way to soak in the beautiful sights when the kids are in bed with wallabies that come to your door step! Amazing, would love to go again.
I loved all the happy smiles on everyone’s faces it made me think, YES it is time we as a family of 10 visit Kangaroo Island and make our own happy memories. Thankyou for sharing your family holiday.
Little Sahara, looks like tons of fun for everyone!
All of it! You have made us want to go ever more than ever as there is more there than we realised! Thanks guys!
Whenever there are children involved there is always lots of adventure and fun and family times!
So anyactivities suitable for the whole family, and out enjoying nature Iinstead of technology! I love it.
I love your visit to the Wildlife Park. I’d love to take my 8 month old. He loves our cats and I’d love to introduce him to more animals. 🙂
Wow! What an action packed couple of days. I loved all of it and hopefully my family will get to experience KI.
Hopefully, my family would have chance to enjoy amazing landscape of Kangaroo Island and creating wonderful memories.
Remarkable Rocks looks very appropriately named and I would love to take the family there to make some memorable memories.
went many years ago on a retreat, so didnt’ see much, but would so love to see all the beautiful scenery and wild life
I love how much you fitted in and that you chose to do things that both adults and children can enjoy. Looked like a lovely adventurous weekend!
I love it.. my partner has been worth his mum i have been with the girls in my family.. it would be awesome to go wroth my partner and daughter to create together memories
Petting sea lions and swimming in crystal clear seawater and listening crushing seawater would be super cool experience for everyone. It is a fantastic prize with unforgettable memories.
Haven’t been but would love to experience it first hand 😉
I last went to KI in Primary School – about 32 years ago – I loved Little Sahara, the way the bush just stopped and these enormous sandhills just took off as far as the eye can see. And of course the ability to roll from top to bottom was amazing – the sand in the undies was the only downside 🙂
THE WILDLIFE PARK SOUNDS GREAT! LOVE ANIMALS AND TO HOLD A SNAKE IS ON MY BUCKET LIST TO!
It is a great prize to create unforgettable family’s holiday memories.
What an awesome holiday for a family. I love the combination of the breathing natural wonders like Admiral’s Arch and the family-friendly activities such as the wildlife park. I can just picture our little family doing this trip – it would be perfect for us and something for everyone to love and lots for all to enjoy.
This looks like an amazing family holiday.
Love everything about it, being able outdoors, around the animals etc.
My kids would love all the great things to see and do.
The photos of all the happy smiles on everyone’s faces especially the kids were priceless and made me want to take the plunge and take my hyperactive 3 year old on a holiday to create out own beautiful photos of all the amazing animals, beauty and tranquility.
Remarkable Rocks. I love rock formations They are my favourite geographical feature
Your amazing Jenga style rock tower! That’s some skill. And of course, all the fun that was had! Looks like a brilliant getaway for kids 🙂
I have not been to Kangaroo Island but would love to take the kids.
The total uniqueness of the Island is unbeatable. It has food, scenery, wildlife, adventure, luxury, roughing it and remoteness – not many places offer all this in one package.
Hi I enjoyed the fact that it took me back to all my experiences on Kangaroo Island as a child and I would love my son to experience this package at the age of 8. It will build fond memories and experiences for him like it did for me. I still have my Kangaroo Island treasure a little projector screen that you click and it takes you through all the tour destinations.
Kangaroo Island has almost everything I love in a holiday destination- abundant wildlife to see in its natural habitat, beautiful and unique scenery, fabulous food and pristine beaches to use for many water based activities.
