Glowing (and growing by the day), Turia Pitt is the picture of pregnancy perfection.
The inspirational Aussie shared a stunning selfie on Instagram this week, showcasing her baby bump and embracing those pregnancy curves.
Clad in cute under-bump black knickers and a crop top, Turia, 30, is clearly rocking her pregnancy. She is due with her first bub, a boy, in November with fiance, Michael Hoskin.
Turia revealed her surprise baby news back in June during an interview with 60 Minutes. The pregnancy comes six years after Turia was severely burned in a grass fire while competing in an ultra marathon in Western Australia. The fire left her with burns to 65 per cent of her body.
Despite her battle, Turia, together with the ultra-supportive Michael, continues to inspire millions every day with her positive mindset. She and Michael both have a message to share about the importance of staying optimistic.
“I’ve never felt compelled to acknowledge the anniversary, but it’s been six years today since I was trapped in a grassfire,” she said on her Instagram page.
“It’s been bloody tough and there have been some massive lows, but I’ve managed to rebuilt my life and I can honestly say, I’ve never been happier.
This post is for anyone going through a rough patch or a shit time – hang in there. Surround yourself with good people and never lose hope for your future.”
Michael echoes his partner’s attitude, sharing a photo of the pair and adding his own thoughts: “Six years ago you tried to steal our life together. Fuck you fire!!! Grateful for the tenacity of the human spirit, we are happy and loving life.”
Congrats Turia and Michael! We cannot wait to hear the birth announcement (and the name!).
