A range of drinking glasses sold by Woolworths and Safeway nationwide are being recalled due to likelihood of breaking in consumer’s hands.

The recall issued by the ACCC this morning warns that the “inspire Glass Tumbler” sets, in both large and small sizes, should be returned as soon as possible for a full refund.

The glassware has been sold at Woolworths and Safeway stores around the country between 10 July 2016 and 25 May 2017.

According to the ACCC, “if the glass tumbler breaks during use, it poises a laceration risk to consumers”.

Recalled Products:

  • 433973 Inspire Glass Tumbler Large 4pk

  • 433974 Inspire Glass Tumbler Small 4pk

What to Do:

Consumers who have the affected glasses are urged to return them to their local Woolworths or Safeway for a full refund. Given the nature of the recall, proof of purchase is not necessarily required.
