Call me cheesy, but I love the hype of an advent calendar. And frankly, I wouldn’t brie without this little cheese-filled gem currently hitting the shelves. Yep, it’s a 12 days of Cheesemas Advent Calendar.

It’s literally the cheesiest advent calendar you could buy. Now be warned, these are going to fly off the shelf quicker than a rolling cheese wheel race so you’re going to want to get in quick.

Plus, you should consider getting two Cheesemas Advent Calendars to last the entire December countdown. Because #cheese.

But anyway I digress, on with the details…

Tell me, where can I get it?

You can thank Woolworths for making this festive season complete. The Ilchester 12 Days of Cheesemas Advent Calendar will only set you back  $16. That’s less than $2 per day for delicious Christmas cheese.

Is it really cheesey?

Yes, yes it is. Not surprisingly (the name kind of gives it away). This Advent Calendar has many types of cheese lurking behind cardboard doors. Better Homes and Gardens gives us the heads up, reporting that the 12 Days of Cheesemas involves devouring the following types of cheese:

  • Applewood – smooth, smoky and dusted with paprika
  • Ilchester Mature Cheddar – creamy and earthy
  • Ilchester Red Leicester – the perfect amount of nuttiness
  • Ilchester Double Gloucester – rich with a hard texture
  • Ilchester Wensleydale with Cranberries – perfect for your cheeseboard
  • Ilchester Wensleydale with Gingerbread – soft and sweet

Certainly, such variety will definitely have us all singing Oh, holy night yum!
