[mc_block_title custom_title=” Every Mum Dreads Nappy Rash”]
Woe is the baby with the red bum! Their delicate skin is pure agony and every wee adds to the dreaded burn. They’ll let you know just how much they’re suffering with endless tears and desperate, pain-filled sobs. Quite frankly, we don’t blame them. It’s a rough time for both mum and bubs alike.
[mc_block_title custom_title=” What Causes Nappy Rash?”]
According to the Royal Children’s Hospital; ‘the most common cause of nappy rash (sometimes called diaper dermatitis) is irritation. Constant moisture and rubbing can cause damage to the skin. This is further irritated by bacteria, yeasts (e.g. candida or thrush), detergents, urine and faeces. Nappy rash is worsened by diarrhoea, some acidic foods, not changing the nappy often enough and plastic pants.
[mc_block_title custom_title=”Help! Tips to Prevent Nappy Rash!”]
- Use good quality disposable nappies
- Nappies should be changed often (about 5 to 7 times a day in babies under 12 months of age), reducing the amount of time that urine and faeces are in contact with the skin.
- At each nappy change your baby’s bottom should be gently cleaned with cotton wool or Chux-type cloths, dampened with lukewarm water.
- A barrier cream should be thickly applied at each nappy change.
- Try to let your child have as much nappy free time as possible.
- Talcum powder should not be used on nappy rash.
[mc_block_title custom_title=”Got Nappy Rash? You need a cure. Fast!”]
As a parent, it’s a relief to have a safe, go-to product on hand all the time. When nappy rash rears its ugly head, you need a barrier that stays on the skin, sealing the moisture and germs and allowing the skin to recover.
Covitol helps to relieve nappy rash, it sticks because it’s thick! While other creams rub away under a nappy.
[mc_block_title custom_title=” Covitol Combines Protection with Healing”]
It’s important to know that when dreaded nappy rash strikes you’re aiding its repair with a barrier cream that includes healing ingredients. When baby’s bottom is proverbially, ‘smooth as’ and rash-free, Covitol is still a great choice as a way of soothing delicate skin and preventing any flare-ups.

Love to be able to try new bum cream to see if it is better than what i am currently using
I am unable to load photos. Our 2 year old recently had a severe reaction to another well known Nappy Cream. Mild Nappy Rash suddenly became “angry red” and showed signs of blistering bust after the cream was put on. We had to get a prescription and use Steroid Cream to use instead.
I use different creams as I am yet to find one that really works for my little man. Always open to try something new.
I remember it from when I was a kid (and younger siblings)! I’d love to see if it’s as good as Mum said it was still 🙂
They say to try before you buy & Also you want to find the best product that works for you & baby’s butt! & that’s in the best interest & comfort for baby!

I would love to trial Covitol Cream on my babies bottoms when they develop nappy rash as I am yet to find a cream that works wonders. I am a Mum to 3 beautiful boys – 5 years, 2 years and a 2 month old. The two youngest are in nappies.

With 2 chlldten in nappies I’d love to be able to try and review Covotil cream.
Sounds like a great cream for the whole family to use. From dry skin under my Sons nose to a barrier cream for nappy rash.
My baby boy was born with a rare birth defect known as imperforate anus. He had a colostomy at day 1. 6 months later he had his colostomy reversed and a bottom made. Unlike other babies his skin has not had a chance to toughen up. No meconium, no poo on his bottom until now. It is like pure acid to his skin when he poos – so his poor bottom bleeds ALL the time. Plus because of his condition he has no sphincter so it is constant. You name a cream – I have used it. This one might give us some relief though – I haven’t used it. I would love if this cream gave us enough relief that I don’t have to get up every hour over night to change a nappy! Poor little guy will eventually grow out of it (the skin will toughen) but unfortunately he will need creams for the rest of his life.
I’m so desperate for a cure
My daughter cries from morning til dawn
We are being admitted to hospital next month for testing as her nappy rash has been beyond home help.
Maybe the cure is covital and we are unaware.
I am wanting to try a new product as the one we are using isn’t working.
I would love to apply for a review because I’ve been using Covitol and always need more supply. Thank you.
I would love to try this nappy cream on my twins
I am a new mum. I don’t have much experience in nappy rash creams. This would be a great opportunity to try something new and improved !
Would love to try something new on my dear daughter’s bot! She’s not a fan of Bepanthen, that’s for sure!
My son is over 2 and still gets nappy rash. He gets it whenever he is teething (still two nasty teeth to go ) or when he eats acidic food like citrus or tomato or too many berries. Would love to find something that actually helps.
I’d be interested to see how it compares to Eco Store nappy balm
We are expecting a newborn in 5 weeks & would love to try Covitol on her. Am interested in discovering the other uses for this cream, other than just for use on baby’s bottom to prevent rash
Would love to try.
I have a 7 week old and a 21 month old. Both who.can get quite red. My 21 month old also has sensitive skin and gets eczema. So this cream would be handy to try and see if it helps
With my first baby, I used cod liver cream I bought from the hospital. They no longer make it, now my second baby, I’m told this is the next best thing, so I’m curious to try!!
Apart from the Nappy Goo that’s only available from RCH, nothing available commercially has worked on my other babies. I’d like to try something that sounds like it works effectively.
I have 2 kids in nappies and would love to give this a go
My son hasgone back to bedwetting. Ive been told the stress from starting school can sometimes do this. As a result we’ve gone back to nappies. And HELLO yucky rash. Would love to trial this as i must get his thighs/bum better so he is no longer distracted and uncomfortable at school
My 5 month old granddaughter suffers from nappy rash and chaffing we would love to try this cream as the cream we are currently using is not helping and this leaves her very uncomfortable and very restless.
I would love to try anything that will stop my son’s bum going red and bleeding after every pokey nappy change.
I’d love to try it for my sons eczema
My daughter has had excema from the time she was born, would be nice to try something different.
Would love to see if it works for my little man’s nappy rash and also mind eczema but would also love to see how it goes on my daughters eczema which I am yet to find a cream that helps her.
Nappy rash can be a real problem for us. The current creams we use are ok but I would love to find the cream that suited my bubba to a tea.
You have no idea how much I need this product! I’ve tried EVERYTHING to help clear DD nappy rash! Now the doc says it might be eczema?!! I would prefer to try a product like this before trying a steroid cream on the nappy region!!!
Although I no longer have nappy rash in my family, our poor little guy had a slight case of molloscum. After taking advice from our gp, who put us onto another gp, who had some supposedly “magic stuff” to help him with it. After putting this stuff on it, which is apparently not on the Australian medicine list, our little guy spent a week in hospital with a severe burn, that was infected and that had also gone into his blood stream. Am not able to send photos but his poor little leg looked absolutely horrific. I would love to try and review thus product to see if it can help with the scarring and sore spots that are left on his leg.
I’d be using it on my son’s very dry patches of skin, was wandering if it would help
My little Billie-Rose has sensitive skin so sometimes gets nappy rash from her nappies/wipes. Due to her sensitive skin, areas of her body become quite dry, we’ve tried different body washes and cream and nothing has seemed to work so far. Here’s hoping we’ve found the one!
Would love to try a new cream, trying to find the right product for my son.

Would love to try this my boy gets nappy rash all the time while my girl gets eczema
I like the idea it is useful for other things than just nappy rash. I am a fan of multipurpose creams. This would be good to try.,
Would love to try & review this product. I am struggling to find a product that works on my daughters eczema so would love to test this. In turn I hope that my review helps others in a similar situation.
Love to try this and see whether it works on my son’s sensitive skin.
i’ve tried many products and want a reliable and safe product to treat nappy rash everyday
Im interest in the fact it has multiple uses. I have eczema and my little one gets nappy rash from time to time.
Personally, I think LizD should be given the first opportunity to trial this cream for her baby boy who has endured so much from birth and still continues to do so.
My son gets eczema, and my daughter’s nappy rash can be hard to clear up at times. Would love to see if this could help them.
My daughter has struggled with nappy rash, eczema and cradle cap her whole life. At her worst it was thick, flaky and itchy and covered her entire face. She constantly complains and scratches….we have tried lots of products so am interested in this product and what it can do for her.
