BrisVegas just got a new attraction – a massive indoor playground that comes with pretty much every single indoor activity a child could want, all within an insane 10,000 square meters.
Known as Area 51, the new playcenter is the largest in Australia and has replaced a former Bunnings that was once housed there.
10,000 square meters of indoor fun. Just to put things in perspective, this is nearly double the space of The White House. Insane, hey?? But what activities have replaced the home of DIY and beloved sausage sizzles?
A look inside Australia’s biggest indoor playground
A Ninja Course and parkour, a trampoline park, mega slides, a rock climbing wall, and even an air coaster.
There are several different areas to cater to all ages from toddlers to teens including Astro Tots for toddlers (0-3). This area has its own space for young jumpers, including a ball pit and a movable carousel made out of soft toys.
Gizmo’s Galaxy is ideal for children 3-5 and includes slides, trampolines, a ball pit and heaps more. It looks like a ton of fun!
The main event has to be the aptly titled Universe which is for kids 6+ and gives them access to Gismo’s but also heaps more areas.
There’s the Parkour X park, the Space Ninja Warrior area, the Moonwalk Boulder Wall and Climbing Walls. There’s also Sky Ropes and Launch Pad Trampoline Park.
For anyone playing at home, this mega playground is basically four indoor playcentres in one – a trampoline park, a Ninja Warrior park, a Rock Climbing park and a soft playground. Hours and hours of fun!
There are also various classes held in the massive area – Mum and Bub Yoga, Dance Classes, Martial Arts, even Cooking Classes.
Area 51 is located in Underwood, QLD, and only just opened on 8 July. As you can imagine, it’s insanely busy! But if you’re ever in Brisbane and looking for something to do, Australia’s biggest indoor playground will certainly tick all the boxes.
So, who’s going??
