Beef Nacho Tortilla Wrap – Folded Wraps Are Back With A Mexican Twist

Remember when folded tortilla wraps were everywhere? People were sharing videos of them making ham salad sandwich wraps, egg and bacon ‘roll’ wraps, burger wraps, and even dessert wraps.

The concept is so simple and totally adjustable to your tastebuds.

Well, three years later they’re back. If you’re on Foodtok, you’re bound to see at least one or two cross your ‘for you page’ (FYP).

Alexs Kitchen Bangers brings you the Nacho Beef Folded Wrap. Which looks like a much easier way to replicate a Taco Bell Cranch Wrap.

Easy To Make At Home

It’s Been A Hot Minute

Alex writes “It’s been a HOT minute since I whipped up a folded wrap ngl I think this is my favourite combo so far – salsa taco beef mince, shredded lettuce, chilli heatwave Doritos, nacho sauce and cheese for a crunchy, melt in your mouth bite

Plus, it’s quick and easy to make in less than 20 minutes, under 450 calories and 38g protein

The Ingredient List

Serves 2

  • 200g lean beef mince
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon tomato salsa
  • 50ml water
  • 2 tortilla wraps
  • 2 handfuls of shredded lettuce
  • 15g chilli heatwave Doritos (or other flavour if you don’t like a lot of heat)
  • 40g nacho cheese dip
  • 30g reduced fat cheddar
  • cheese grated

Step One

Cook the mince until almost browned. Add the taco seasoning and mix well before adding the salsa and water.

Step Two

Microwave the wraps for 15 seconds before slicing almost halfway down the middle.

Step Three

Clockwise from the bottom left quarter, add the lettuce, then the taco beef, squishing it down, the Doritos, lastly, spread about three-quarters of the cheese sauce on the last quarter and top with shredded cheese, dollop the last bit of cheese sauce on the mince.

Step Four

Fold the lettuce onto the beef, then across to the Doritos and down to the cheese.

Step Five

Heat a pan over medium to high heat, cook the wrap cheese side down first for a couple of minutes before flipping for a further minute until slightly crispy and as brown as you like it.

Yum. This is getting added to the recipe rotation. You can play around with the recipe using different ground meats like chicken, pork, turkey and lamb. You could probably even use fish. If you don’t like spicy Doritos, they have heaps of different flavours to use.
