Small (family of one to two people) – 2L to 3L capacity
Medium (family of three to four people) – 3L to 5L capacity

As for choosing a slow cooker shape, I ALWAYS recommend an oval or rectangle bowl over a circle. In true square peg, round hole syndrome, there’s nothing more frustrating than your lamb shank bones or roast chicken not fitting in the circular shape!
