It’s a huge HIP HIP HOORAY to our favourite Royal couple, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their 10 year anniversary! So we think it’s quite fitting to share 10 of our favourite Kate and Wills moments, shared for the world to see.

Where it all started

In the wedding the world eagerly awaited, Prince William married long-time girlfriend Catherine Middleton on April 29, 2011. It was the most anticipated Royal wedding since that of his parents, Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.

And such a big wedding comes with a big price sticker. Join us as we celebrate the big day and delve into just how much it cost in Aussie dollars!

Firstly, it’s reported that the wedding of the decade cost around $48.6 million.

The biggest expense for the day (understandably) was security, which reportedly cost around $46 million. As for the rest, well there’s flowers, catering and of course, the Duchess’ most exquisite designer Alexander McQueen gown, costing just over $500,000.

I mean if that doesn’t trump any Pinterest wedding then I don’t know what does.

Wills and Kate 10 years on…

Honestly, these two don’t skip a beat. 10 years of marriage and three children later, Kate and Wills appear to be more in love than ever. New portraits have been released to mark the Duke and Duchess’ 10th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t be more thrilled with these cute yet casual pics the Palace has shared.

We love seeing them on duty in their official Royal roles but it’s even more of a treat to see them like this.

Pure perfection. Prince George casually plays with a rocking horse in his dressing gown, a gift from US President at the time, Barack Obama. Casual, yet so cool. Kate and Wills just hanging out with the family and the President. As you do.

6. Family holiday fun, Kate fires snowball at Will

We just love seeing this playful side of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The couple released these images of their first family of four family holiday in the French Alps. So much fun … and take that Wills!

It’s the tonal dressing and the wrangling of the kids for me. The Duke and Duchess make every family photo look like an absolute hoot.

10. Kate and William Facetime and Zoom

The worldwide COVID-19 pandemic didn’t, and hasn’t, discriminated against anyone. We all had to find a new way to work, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge included … and they didn’t disappoint. We often saw them jumping on virtual meetings to thank frontline workers and reach out to people, giving us all the feels.

So there you have it. Happy Anniversary to you both, thanks for the first 1 and can’t wait to see what the next 10 years hold for you both!
