We REALLY didn’t have to wait long at all, following their announcement only weeks ago, Ed Sheeran and wife Cherry Seaborn welcome a beautiful baby girl, making them a loved up family of three!

Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran
A beautiful daughter with an equally exquisite name – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. Naww, bless! Ed announced his and wife Cherry’s precious daughter’s arrival on his Instagram account with a simple photo of a wool blanket and a pair of teeny tiny socks.
And, it’s to be noted, Ed and his wife Cherry were pictured in Antarctica nine months before he gave his newborn daughter the unusual middle name …hmmm we’re thinking that goes a long way to explaining such a divine name!
Ed Sheeran captioned the cheeky Instagram baby news post with:
“Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.”
“We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x”
Notoriously private, I don’t expect to see photos of gorgeous Lyra on Ed’s social pages but socks and a blanket – I’ll take it!
The newborn bubble, while the world waits
Sneakily though, and in TRUE Ed and Cherry style, it seems they’ve managed to keep Lyra’s arrival under wraps for a week. What a glorious week that must have been for the newly appointed parents in their quiet newborn bubble.
