RECALL: Almond Milk Recalled Amid Fears of Contamination

Time to check the pantry and fridge ladies! Two popular almond milk brands have recalled products over fears of contamination. There’s no time to cry over spilt milk, check the dates pronto!

And unfortunately, if you’re an almond milk drinker, it’s likely to be one of your faves.

Popular almond milk products recalled!

The recall notice reads: “Freedom Foods is conducting a recall of the above products. Milk Lab Almond Milk has been potentially available for sale nationally in coffee shops and various food service outlets, as well as through distributors.”

“Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Chocolate Almond Milk has been available for sale in NSW (Coles and Woolworths), QLD (Coles and Woolworths), SA (Coles), TAS (Coles), VIC (Coles and Woolworths) and WA(Coles and Woolworths).”

What you need to know:

Check your pantry for these almond milk products:

  • Milk Lab Almond Milk 1L with best before dates 18/06/21, 01/07/21, 20/07/21, 29/07/21 and 06/08/21
  • Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Chocolate Almond Milk 1L with best before date 27/04/21

Problem: The recall is due to potential microbial contamination (bacteria pseudomonas).

Food safety hazard: Food products with microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed. Basically, it could make you awfully sick if you (continue) to drink it.

What to do: Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. Also, return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund. You should not need a receipt given it’s a recall.
