It’s a pizza party Friday night and after a full day of mum or work duties you have absolutely NO DESIRE to make pizza. You know … make the dough, knead it, prove it, punch it, shape it and so on. Well, we’ve got your back with this delicious time-saving garlic bread pizza hack. It’s the ULTIMATE pull-apart pizza!
I had seen this garlic bread pizza hack popping up in various Facebook groups and thought I’d dutifully take one for the team, try it out and report back to our Mum Central community with the results. And folks, I can tell you – this is one foodie hack that is an absolute GAME CHANGER to my pizza making world.
The garlic bread pizza hack that is saving pizza night
It’s not that making pizza from scratch is hard per see, it’s just more time-consuming than anything else. BUT NO MORE. Sure, the garlic bread base isn’t the same as a traditional dough pizza base, but it IS more delicious and sits somewhere in the middle of bruschetta and pizza. Ask my tastebuds and they’ll tell you – it’s a match made in Heaven.
PLUS you can totally buy up a few garlic bread packets at a time and freeze them, giving you a pizza base in an instant!
$1.90 Woolworths garlic bread is the star of the show
Perfect for those keeping the grocery budget in check, the Woolworths Essentials Garlic Bread twin pack, $1.90 is fab for covering one standard-sized pizza tray. Just slice the loaves up evenly (the loaf ends may need a little trimming to sit flat) and you’re good to go. Let that garlic butter work its magic in this perfect pull-apart pizza.
You can use any pizza toppings you like – you can even add pineapple if feeling controversial – we won’t judge! #teampineapple
