Product Safety Australia is calling for anyone who owns the Tinkers Drawing Board Table and Chairs Set to cease using the product.

The popular wooden table and chairs set, sold across Australia at Big W, was recalled on Wednesday (July 2) due to safety concerns.

So if your child has a super-cute kiddie wooden table and chairs set they sit at for teddy bear picnics, drawing and other fun stuff – check the product code to see if it is the Tinkers Drawing Board Table and Chairs Set.

Tinkers table and chair recalled

The Tinkers Drawing Board Table and Chairs Set was sold nationally, both online and in-store at Big W. It was available from 1 April 2018 to 10 April 2019.

The product code is: 8234960

What’s the problem?

Big W is recalling the product as, in some circumstances, the chairs may break if a child leans on it at an angle.

If the defect occurs whilst in use, the break could cause a serious injury.

What should consumers do?

Customers should immediately cease using the product and return it to any BIG W store for a full refund.

If you would like further information, call Big W Customer Service on 1300 244 999.
