Sandwiches don’t need to be the same every day. Using a flat bread and toasting it adds variety and also lets your child enjoy new flavours. Check out one of our favourite quesadilla receipes below.
Makes: 1 | Prep time: 4 minutes | Cook time: 2 minutes
Ingredients:
1 flat bread (burrito, mountain bread, wrap etc)
1/2 tin of tuna
1/4 tin of kidney beans
1 small handful cheese
1/2 an avocado
Method of preparation:
Step 1: Preheat a frypan over a medium heat.
Step 2: To make the quesadilla, mash the kidney beans in a bowl and stir through the tuna and cheese.
Step 3: Spread the mixture on half of the flat bread, then fold it in half and add to a sandwich press to grill until beautifully golden.
To serve:
Cut in to triangles and serve with the avocado smashed on top or the side.
To store:
They store great in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days or in the freezer for a month. Just make re-grill them when you’re ready to eat them.
