Set in the year 2060, Thunderbirds Are Go follows the adventures of the Tracy family headed by Jeff Tracy, a multi-millionaire philanthropist whose five sons – Scott, John, Virgil, Gordon and Alan – are the force behind International Rescue.

    thunderbirds episodes were great growing up, watching the cool adventures they went on, brings back great memories at home with my sister, wishing i could fly!

    I grew up on, and still watch the original Thunderbirds. I wonder if the new Thunderbirds will stir my granddaughters imagination, as the original did for me.

  12. They still move like they are puppets on a string even after 50 years. The show appeals to all and my kids just enjoy the storylines.

    The cool adventures they had and the childhood memories. GO! Thunderbirds. Also that they were puppets and seemed real, even though you could always see the strings that they were hanging from. Once you love thunderbirds you always love them.

    The thunderbirds are family friendly and multigenerational, I used to watch with my mum and now I watch with my mum and kids.

    This will sound strange, but my favourite thing about the show was The Hood. Everybody loves a good villain, especially one who possesses voodoo-style magic and the power of hypnosis!

  27. yes the memories of watching them with my children who are now grown and they watch them with their children i love all the stories of the tools they used to rescue people i love the show and the latest one where they are all grown and have children of their own

  28. I grew up with the original Thunderbirds, back in the day they were so realistic in their funny stilted way. Loved Scott and can still hear Parker, “Yes M’Lady.” Never missed an episode.

  37. A total reminder of early mornings in my childhood when I tip toed to the lounge room to watch it at 6am! All systems are go!

  42. For the missions and the way they moved, heads and limbs bouncing so gently on their strings. The memories, I loved Thunderbirds as a kid, even got one of their rocket plane toys here somewhere if the kids haven’t destroyed a piece of history.

    I love that the Thunderbirds were around in my childhood and now have been reinvented so my children can enjoy them too. Now we both get to sit and chill out together with me reminiscing and my children enjoying the action.

    I watched the original as a kiddy, loved say “Thunderbirds are Go”, and pretending I was Lady Penelope, so sophisticated and classy!

  69. It’s not just for the kids, this is one of my husbands favourite shows..

  70. I had a friend who copied them and acted out shows we had missed. We all enjoyed his reenactments and the cool machines.

    Thunderbirds is one of the first tv shows I remember watching. My older brother loved it but I thought it was a bit weird until it was re-released many years later – and again now. I love that I can share a little of my childhood with my own kids! F.A.B. Mum Central 🙂

    I love that Thunderbirds span the generations. My parents watched it, I grew up watching them & now my son is hooked. I dreamed of Virgil and the International Rescue team saving me one day!
