Barbie’s Malibu DreamHouse officially landed on Airbnb this week as part of the highly anticipated launch of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie. If you haven’t been following the Barbie madness, the movie is set to be a huge hit with an all-star cast and epic costumes featuring Barbie and her loyal sidekick, Just Ken.

Barbie World Dreams Do Come True!

Unlike the movie, however, the DreamHouse is screaming with Kenergy.

While it’s 100% Barbie’s house, Ken has modified it slightly, adding some “much-needed Kenergy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu DreamHouse”.

“Welcome to my Kendom! While Barbie is away, she has handed over the keys to her Malibu DreamHouse this summer and my room could be yours for the night.

Placed perfectly above the beach with panoramic views, this life-size toy pink mansion is a dream come true!,” the listing reads.

The launch of the DreamHouse means our Barbie fantasies no longer live rent-free in our minds, but actually in real life. However, you’ll need to book a flight to America stat for your chance to relocate to Barbie World.

The mansion is located along the Malibu coastline in California with beach views and beach access. Nice. It also comes with an awesome deck plus a swimming pool and plenty of space to chillax.

There is also an outdoor disco dance floor because Barbie wouldn’t have it any other way.

While the place screams Barbie, there are a few Ken deets that are hard to ignore, such as the cowboy decor, gym equipment and basketball court.

“And of course, rollerblades, because I literally go nowhere without them,” the host adds.

The one-bedroom mansion also comes with an epic wardrobe and plenty of beach accessories to enjoy. Guests will also take home their very own set of yellow-and-pink Impala skates and surfboard.

Like many Airbnb special stays, the Malibu Barbie DreamHouse is only available for a very specific period of time and only for two guests so you’ll have to leave the kids at home for this one.

The one or two-night stay is only available on 21 July 2023 and 22 July 2023 and bookings open on Monday 17 July 2023 at 10:OO Pacific Time. The odds of securing a spot are probably even worse than the chances of getting Tay Tay tickets, but, hey, a girl can dream, right?

Even more Airbnb themed homes

Airbnb is all about iconic homes and they’ve done a few awesome themed stays in the past including the epic Bluey House, located in Brisbane (of course) and straight out of the popular television program.

In October 2022, to coincide with the release of Hocus Pocus 2, Airbnb offered a stay in the Hocus Pocus cottage, located literally a 13-minute drive away from Salem, Massachusetts, the setting of the movie.

Hosted by none other than the Sanderson Sisters, the 2-bed, 2-bathroom Hocus Pocus cottage boasts all the necessities, including a bubbling cauldron, your very own broomstick, and of course, the beloved Manual of Witchcraft and Alchemy – just don’t let it out of your sight!

Pooh’s iconic treehouse in the Hundred Acre Wood was also once available on Airbnb.  The custom-built ‘Bearbnb’ is located in Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, England and comes complete with ALL the classic Pooh fixings we so fondly remember.
