We all could use a night away, a break from the ordinary, a mini-escape. If you happen to be a fan of Hocus Pocus (I mean, who DIDN’T love this movie as a child), then this AirBnB cottage may be just up your alley.
Guests can now stay overnight in the Hocus Pocus cottage, featuring all sorts of spooky artifacts from the hit movie and sequel, which only just came out last week. If you haven’t watched it yet, it’s on Disney+ and I thought it was super cute. Not as good as the original, of course, but, still a fun watch.
But, I digress. Because here lies the OG Hocus Pocus cottage located in Danvers, Massachusetts, the United States, which is literally a 13-minute drive away from Salem, Massachusetts, the setting of the movie – and the infamous witch trials of the 1600s.
Now, we know Salem is a pretty decent flight away. We can’t all just take our broomsticks or robot vacuums (people who have seen the sequel will understand what I mean here) and fly there.
But check out the pictures below – it looks pretty cool, even if we have to view it from across the pond.
A look inside the Hocus Pocus cottageÂ
Hosted by none other than the Sanderson Sisters, the 2-bed, 2-bathroom Hocus Pocus cottage boasts all the necessities, including a bubbling cauldron, your very own broomstick, and of course, the beloved Manual of Witchcraft and Alchemy – just don’t let it out of your sight!
The witches write,
To celebrate our resurrection, we’re inviting guests into a land of enchantment with a stay at a recreation of our Salem cottage, where those with a penchant for mysticism can explore our spine-chilling haunt as All Hallows’ Eve approaches.Â
As though untouched by time, our creaky old cottage stands tall amidst the trees, beckoning visitors as if by trance. Enter by window or water wheel, but watch your step – a cobweb or two and the smoke from our cauldron await you inside.”
Amidst the broomsticks and apothecary bottles, the Black Flame Candle flickers and our beloved Manual of Witchcraft and Alchemy sleeps deeply – lest something (or someone) wakes it. It’s a magnificently eerie scene certain to get guests in the Halloween ‘spirit.”
Spooky!
The Hocus Pocus cottage isn’t available to rent just yet but bookings open soon, on 12 October 2022. This is for a one-night special stay on 20 October 2022 (for just $31). We imagine additional bookings will open after this.
We do love a themed AirBnB special!
