Barbie Mania is creeping into Halloween season and we’re here for it. While I know many Aussies choose to forgo the traditional American Halloween and skip out on dressing the kids up and asking people for candy, it’s still fun to just how extra Halloween can be in America.
One neighbourhood in Utah decided to band together to transform their neighbourhood into a glorious Barbie street for Halloween and it’s more than Kenough!
While Halloween isn’t until the end of the month, the neighbours in a residential community of Daybreak in South Jordan, Utah, are more than ready to welcome Barbie, Ken, Allen and every other trick-or-treater that enters their perfectly pink Barbie street.
Hi Barbie Street!
Each home on the street acts as a different house in Barbieland including the Barbie Dreamhouse (of course) and Ken’s Mojo Dojo Casa House. Ken’s Mojo Dojo Casa House is pretty epic too with a cowboy bar, an inflatable motorcycle and a giant horse. #Patriarchy.
Disco Barbie’s house is pretty iconic with a neon sign that quotes the infamous line, “You guys ever think about dying?”
Pool Party Barbie went all out with a pretend waterslide and pool inflatables. Oh, and a skeleton because it is Halloween after all.
Speaking of Halloween, one house on the street transformed into a Barbie Graveyard, which features the pink tombstone of Ruth Handler, Barbie’s creator, as well as markers for Sugar Daddy Ken, and, of course, the patriarchy. Hilarious. Haunted Barbie’s house also hit the spooky brief.
There’s a lot more Barbie gold to discover with matching signs, cardboard cutouts of various Barbies including John Cena as Mermaid Barbie and bright pink LED lights that pave the way for trick-or-treaters.
There’s even a Weird Barbie house! YAS!
Oh, and if you’re wondering what the words are in the red circle in place of Mattel? That’s the surname of every household. Clever!
How did this all come together?
It all started with a trip to the theatres to watch none other than Barbie. The neighbours, who also happen to be good friends (cue the Neighbours theme song), all went to watch the movie together. They then decided that they should all go as Barbies for Halloween but decided to take this to the next level by making their houses Barbies too.
The neighbours have been working hard for weeks and weeks as they perfect their Barbie street.
TikTok user Liz T.G. (@paseo_forever) who lives on the street showcased the pink neighbourhood in a series of viral TikTok videos.

Have a look at her TikTok channel where she has uploaded more tidbits of the various streets. With Halloween still a couple more weeks away, we predict even more Barbieland video reveals in the near future.
I don’t know about you, but if I lived in America, that is where I’d be trick or tricking!
