If you’re a fan of MAFS, then you know a thing or two about Bryce and Melissa. I’m just going to go ahead and say it – they weren’t the most-well-liked couple on the show, but, hey, what goes on behind the scenes we shall never know.
And, apparently, A LOT has gone down since the two left the show. The pair recently announced via a New Idea photoshoot and interview that they are not only getting married (for real this time), but also expecting.
They’re having TWINS!
Bryce is well aware that he looked like a proper ass-hat on the show and the pair are more than happy to put their TV appearance behind them and move forward away from the cameras and editing.
“It’s all happened very fast,” Bryce admits to New Idea.
“We’re not doing this for anybody else, it’s about us – we’re cementing our love,” he says. “Melissa deserves to be happy and I’m apparently very good at that, so I’m looking forward to making it all official.”
“It’s been a whirlwind, but we’re so incredibly happy,” adds Mel. “We’d already been married on the show and, with our relationship getting stronger, this just felt like the logical next step.”
First comes love, then comes babies
For the parents-to-be, family comes before marriage and the two will wed (again) after they welcome their twins. No news on the genders or the actual due date but we’re guessing it will be at the end of 2021/early 2022.
Bryce is now busy setting up the nursery in their Mornington Peninsula house.
“Our kids will have a friend for life, it’s a very special thing,” says Bryce. “We hope they grow up close. This is all such a blessing to be able to bring two children into the world together … we’re on cloud nine.”
Wedding plans
Melissa also shares that they plan to have a pretty low-key wedding, unlike the show. We also shouldn’t expect the show’s experts, Mel Schilling, John Aiken and Alessandra Rampolla to be invited, either!
“I’ll have two babies by the time I walk down the aisle,” says Mel.
