ROYAL BABY NEWS: Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank Welcome a Baby Boy!

It’s a Royal baby boy! Princess Eugenie of York and her husband Jack welcomed their firstborn, a sweet baby boy overnight!

Announcing the news in modern-day princess style, Princess Eugenie posted this sweet Instagram post:

Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Fergie, wed Jack Brooksbank back in 2018. The couple announced their pregnancy back in September last year, amid the increasing COVID-19 crisis in the UK and worldwide. Princess Eugenie and Jack’s son is currently 11^th in line to the throne, and is Queen Elizabeth’s ninth great-grandchild. #blessed

No Royal baby name… yet

It’s true – an announcement has been made without the newest Royal baby being named! We can’t help but be on the edge of our seats for the big reveal. While it’s likely to be a traditional name, we hope the couple tried on a few of these wanderlust baby names for size.

A Royal baby named by public vote, perhaps?

Royal baby names are tricky. Personally, I’d love to see a Fergus but considering the Queen does need to sign off on the wee bub’s name, perhaps that might not be best. As with all Royal babies, we love to have fun making a name guess.

The official baby announcement released reads:

“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, 9th February 2021, at 0855hrs at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present.

The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.

The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.

This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York’s first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
