Here’s a party for fossil fans and pint-size palaeontologists, a gorgeous dinosaur themed birthday party!

Mum and party planner extraordinaire Nathalia set up this perfect picnic for her little guy Vincent, who was celebrating his third birthday. Happy birthday Vincent!

A picnic party for Vincent!

Perfect for young children, a low set table surrounded by scattered cushions placed on jute mats was perfect for a relaxed picnic vibe. The table was dotted with plants and dinosaurs – both skeletal and otherwise, nests of eggs, personalised water bottles and plant printed napkins nestled beneath natural kraft cups and plates.

The feast awaits

Nathalia created the most awesome platters for guests to feast on, all fitting in the dinosaur theme superbly! Platters of asparagus spears, olives, celery, gherkins, kiwi fruit, snow peas, cucumbers, pretzels, nuts and crackers all fit the bill perfectly. And let’s not forget the delicious veggie straws!

Let there be cake!

Vincent’s brilliant birthday cake was a sight to behold and absolutely dino-riffic! Chocolate and caramel topped with biscuit rubble, dinosaurs and a gold number three candle, it’s a beautiful (and delicious) sight to behold.

“The chocolate cake with caramel filling and cookies on top was definitely the best cake I have eaten.”

No detail was spared with this dinosaur birthday party, Nathalia thought of everything from personalised cookies to loot bags, a spectacular balloon garland arch to set the scene and a teepee to lie back and retreat in.

What a perfect way to spend the afternoon!

HOT TIP:  We love that Nathalia found the dinosaurs (perched on the table) in Kmart, part of a Build and Paint Your Own Dinosaur Set (pack of three, $8). Not only do they make fantastic table decor, but we imagine painting them would also make for a super fun party activity also. Everyone gets to take their own stegosaurus, triceratops or tyrannosaurus rex home!
