It’s no secret at Mum Central that we are mega Kmart fans. Their gorgeous celebration and seasonal items are so on-trend right now and we never tire of the catalogue hitting our mailbox for a little light #shoppingporn

Well here’s some fun news! Our friends at Kmart have given us a $100 voucher for one of our lucky readers to have a little pre-Xmas indulgence. $100 is all you’ll need to have your house totally merry and festive-ready for the silly season. We’re not allowed to enter (there’s no justice in the world!) but if we could here’s how we’d spend it to ensure Christmas 2016 would be our most gorgeous ever…

Oh and a very big and cool PS – make sure you read all the way to the bottom, we’ve got the lowdown on how to score your kid a once-in-a-lifetime $1000 shopping experience. You’ll sure want to enter!

Here’s how Mum Central would spend $100 to style the ultimate Kmart Chrissy…

1. A Fab Christmas Wreath

Nothing lets guests know that there’s a bold and stylish Christmas theme ahead for them more than a front door wreath. For the neighbour to gawk at and your family to admire as they cross your threshold, our pick is the 39cm geometric light up metal wreath. It’s only $12 and it sets the tone for the warm bronze theme we can’t get enough of!

2. Designer Feel Premium Crackers

A gorgeous, decadent bonbon sets the tone for Christmas lunch! These huge gold and bronze picks are perfect for a metallic theme and liberally sprinkled with glitter and geo print. There’s also matching wrapping and what can we say? We’re girls that really love matchy-matchy!

3. A Stylish Brass Serving Tray

Perfect for bringing some Mad Men style glam to the pre-lunch drinks this super lustrous brass tray is a steal at only $7. The hardest part will be choosing which cocktail you wish to serve off it!

4. Delicious Smelling Lime and Mandarin Candles

Presented in a hammered brass tone cup with a lid you’ll need a couple of these and at only $6 each it’s totally in budget. One for the lounge and one for the bathroom vanity. It’s the small details that make the big differences so carry your theme to every room in the house that your guests will be visiting. Of course it’s just a bonus your home will smell divine!

5. The Marble Christmas Tree and other cool pieces

These slick and modern pieces are the basis of your Christmas table display. They’re festive, sophisticated and perfect for the modern Australian Chrissy table. Find all the cool marble pieces available by searching online you’ll also find votives, pot plants, coasters and servingware. The Tree is our pick at only $8, two would look amazing for double the wow!

6. Statement Round Gold Place Mats

\Bringing some glitz and warmth to the table against all that marble you’ll need some metallic elements. At only $2 a pop these gold place mats can’t be beaten for adding pizazz. Even better you’ll use them right through summer.

7. Adorable Woodland Characters

To add some softness and frivolity to the table that the little people will love these totally cute and budget-friendly characters can be added for just $4 for the set!

8.Luxe Gold Cutlery

In keeping to the $100 budget we can’t quite stretch to the full gold cutlery set (even though we totally want it!) but the $10 gold cheese knife set (above) is a must-have. Just in case the budget is bigger in your house here’s a total perv on the full cutlery and salad servers below. #lusthave

9. Update Your Tree with some Gold and Bronze Pieces

There’s a full range of decorations at Kmart to bring your old tree into it’s new theme. We love the stag heads and shiny mini balls but whatever your hearts desire there’s plenty of choice to bring your tree into 2016!

I’d shop the boxing day sales and buy a new tree and decorations for next year.

  335. After shopping in Kmart yesterday afternoon my 3 year old decided to jump on a kids bike & try to ride off, except it was chained up, she didn’t get very far. She asking Santa for a bike tomorrow, I’d buy my little girl Khloe a bike 🙂 It’s very obvious she fell in love with the pink bike.

I think I’ve bought my kids enough toys from Kmart for Christmas this year so with $100 voucher I’d buy something for myself – a new summer wardrobe! It’s not just the homewares and toys that are awesome and great value at Kmart, the clothes are great too!

  344. I just bought a new tree this year and the theme is gold, it’s looking very sparse so I’d love to incorpororate some more lovely gold pieces!

  345. Some fun, festive, perhaps even funky boxer shorts for our annual ‘Boxing Day’ BBQ with close friends. It’s become a tradition that we men dress in boxer shorts for the event, and our ladies vote on who’s got the best pair on. The Winner gets the BOXING DAY trophy and all it’s glory lol, small things I guess, but we find it fun & a good way to incorporate and use up lots of the Christmas Day left overs.
