Fourteen days ago I started an experiment. Not just any experiment, mind you. This one would see me determining what impact (if any) using L’Oreal Revitalift would do to the fine lines and wrinkles on my face.
Now don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t say I have THAT many wrinkles. Yes I’m on the OTHER side of 40 and NO I don’t have a strict beauty regime so my crows feet are somewhat apparent. Though not THAT apparent that led me to proactively seek out a solution. But when L’Oreal Paris approached me to undertake the 14 day challenge to see for myself what change Revitalift would make, I was pretty curious.
I figured it wouldn’t be too hard. I already apply a daily moisturiser every morning as part of getting ready each day so all I needed to do was swap it out for the Revitalift. Easy. Needless to say I said yes, let’s do this!
I grabbed my camera, my tripod and stood there in all my natural glory a fortnight ago (after bribing master 5 with footy cards to stay quiet long enough so that I could record an intro video.) No makeup, just me. I was excited, and a bit nervous not even having a dab of lippy on, but it was liberating to show me ‘as I am’ and invite you all along for the journey. Thankfully (and quite honestly as I had expected) it was very well received with so many of you keen to see my results and join me on the challenge (and of course, to find out about our super special offer for 50 super special readers).

So here we are now on the other side, fourteen days later.
I have to say it was a really easy experience (and not in a boring kinda way). All I had to do is swap out my regular moisturiser for the Revitalift, which was no big effort.
The results? Well in all honesty my skin feels quite a bit smoother when I apply the moisturiser (I’m thinking most likely quite a bit more hydrated too) and there’s some SIGNIFICANT difference in my ‘crow’s feet’ and the fine lines under my eyes. Being a ‘big picture’ girl, I didn’t compare the daily results too closely, instead focused on comparing my results towards the end of the challenge. And I’m so glad I did as I really saw a noticeable outcome.
I used the ‘wrinkle reader’ they provided to compare the improvement. On Day 1 I was a ‘3’ on the reader and I’m pleased to repost that by Day 14, I was down to a 1. WINNING!
The cream itself was easy to apply and non-greasy (which is a big factor for me as I struggle with oil based creams so was a little concerned). It has a slight perfume, enough to notice but only briefly when applying and it wasn’t offensive. It would have been nice to have had a little spatula or similar to apply given it comes in a pot (and I have long nails) but I found a quick workaround so it was all good.
Oh, and pardon my eyebrow grooming (or lack thereof!) I didn’t realise how close up the pics would end up as I stared down the barrel each week! Anyway…onto the results!
By Day 7 I could slightly see some changes, including skin tone
By Day 14 I could see a real difference in the corners of my eyes and lines underneath. I also felt my skin tone was a even more balanced and not so red.
So there you have it! Not bad for 14 days work! I’m keen to see how much further the impact goes as I continue to use the rest of the pot and look forward to sharing your results if you choose to undertake the review with us!
