McCain & ALDI Recall Popular Frozen Products Over Allergen and Health Risks

There’s been a huge frozen food recall comprising range of McCain imported frozen products due to the presence of poisonous gases. Added to this, there’s also been an important ALDI recall on their popular Farmwood Chicken T-Rex bites for not disclosing an allergen risk (peanuts).

McCain Recall Popular Frozen Indian Products

Parsram Foods Pty Ltd is conducting a recall of McCain imported frozen products. The affected products were available for sale at Indian Grocery stores in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, and SA.

Products being recalled

  • McCain Aloo Tikki 400g and 1.5kg
  • McCain Chilli Garlic Potato Pops 1.5kg
  • McCain Chilli Garlic Potato Bites 420g
  • McCain Masala Fries 420g and 1.5kg
  • McCain Popular Veggie Burger Patty 1.2kg
  • McCain Veggie Burger Patty 360g
  • McCain Veggie Fingers 400g
  • McCain Veggie Nuggets 325g

Product Expiry Dates:

All expiry dates up to and including 22/08/2025.

What’s the Issue? 

The recall is due to potential chemical (ethylene oxide) contamination. Food products containing ethylene oxide may cause illness/injury if consumed.

If you’re affected…

Consumers should not eat the products and return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund. Any concerned consumers should seek medical advice.

Urgent ALDI Recall for Popular Frozen Dino Nuggets – ALLERGEN RISK!

ALDI Stores is conducting a recall of Farmwood Chicken Breast T-Rex Bites (1kg). The product has been available for sale at Aldi Stores in NSW, ACT, QLD, SA, WA and VIC.

All date codes and batches are affected.

What’s the Issue? 

The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (peanut). Any consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed. 

If you’re affected…

Consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume this product. Consumers should return the product to any Aldi Store for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
