Kmart Letter Board Hack Makes the Best Mother’s Day Gift for Grandma

Prepare to have your mind blown by this incredibly simple yet sweet way to brighten Mother’s Day for the special Nana in your life.

All you need is your children (preferably smiling and clean), a camera and Kmart’s DIY letter board.

Get ready to make grandma’s day.

Mother’s Day isn’t just about you. It’s also about that lovely woman who gave birth to you, raised you, and now occasionally babysits your kids for you. For free.

That’s right – your own mum (and mum-in-law, of course).

‘I love grandma because’

While there are heaps of Mother’s Day gifts for grandmas out there, we absolutely loved this thoughtful idea! Why? Because it’s affordable, personal and crafty (but without the need to use glitter or glue).

Shared by clever mum Rebekah Taylor to Kmart Mums Australia, countless mums are going mad for the idea, including us.  Simply add a special message about grandma to Kmart’s DIY letter board, capture your children holding the DIY and print out your pics.

“In case anyone’s struggling with Mother’s Day ideas for Grandma. I got these printed on to a mug for my mum,” Rebekah explains.

You can also use print the photos to a canvas, t-shirt, place mat, mouse pad. Anything really. Or, you can simply frame the photos and surprise grandma on Mother’s Day.

Made for nana

If you don’t already have one of these DIY letter boards ($12), this Kmart letter board hack is a pretty good reason to grab one. We have one and I swear it’s one of my favourite Kmart items (and I have A LOT of Kmart items). We use ours to plan our week, but it’s also great for all sorts of announcements, from pregnancy reveals to birthday messages (such as below).
