What could be better than getting up close and personal with Australian wildlife on a local holiday? There is so much to see and do in the CWS. You can take a guided Segway Safari where you can travel on Segway’s around the sanctuary, stopping to feed the animals along the way. Or test your skills in the Tree Top Challenge with five different courses and 80 different tree top challenges! There are 11 insane zip-lines including the Croc Shock where you literally zip-line right over the crocodiles! There’s also multiple wildlife encounters to be had such as holding a koala or feeding a crocodile for the more adventurous families! A day here won’t disappoint the tribe!

If you’re looking for a dose of nature on your holiday, this is the perfect activity to do with the family. Pack a picnic and head to the Springbrook National Park. There is much to see and do in the National Park, from bush walks, to scenic opportunities to camping. There are beautiful waterfalls to see by day, a new suspension bridge with spectacular views, horse riding trails and glowworm tunnels by night. It is a 55-minute drive inland from the Gold Coast so pack a picnic and make a day of it!

Take the family for a stroll along the picturesque Surfer’s Paradise beach promenade and browse the hundreds of stalls in the night markets. There is something there for everyone in the family! Skypoint is Australia’s only beachside observation deck located 77 stories up on the Gold Coast’s iconic Q1 tower. The whole family will feel the wind in their hair, 230-metres up during the 90-minute experience. When you’re done enjoy a rewarding treat in the Seventy7 Cafe & Bar and watch the tiny world beneath you go bay with 360 degree Gold Coast views. Be warned: the last 40-metres of the climb to the summit is outside and nearly 300 stairs. Climbers are (safely) harnessed to a purpose-built rail system. If you can curb the nerves this is a truly amazing experience!

This free activity is definitely one the kids will love! There is a playground with activities for children of all abilities including a wheelchair swing, a huge bouncy pillow, The Rockpool water playground and free barbecue facilities! Of course you can’t visit the Gold Coast without stopping off at one of the famous theme parks for a day with the kids. Keep an eye out for admission deals across parks if you’re looking to hit up more than one theme park on your stay!

But who can say no to breakfast overlooking the beach with a stack on pancakes?

This family friendly pub is a little drive to get to, sitting in Tamborine which is between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, but boy is it worth a visit! There’s a playground and open grounds for the kids to play while they wait for their order, and if you go at the right time, there is a reptile show and toad races! How very Queensland of you!

Tasty, food, nostalgic décor and a relaxed vibe makes The Bistro an easy family-pleaser for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You’ll be tapping along to the era’s coolest tunes while you dine.

This little gem is in Sanctuary Cove, and even the fur babies are catered for! Sit and watch the yachts on the harbour as you eat from a menu serving up local food. There’s also a playground nearby so plenty to do after a bite to eat.
